Bought The Machine At A Supermarket In Italy And T

Bought the machine at a supermarket in Italy and the price seemed great (about $200). I'd always owned a Singer - mind you an old one with REAL metal parts!! The rubbish I bought is a toy - tried to use it to sew up a hem (cotton trousers), broke. Had it repaired and tried again - very simple sewing again with lightweight cotton - arm on back of machine broke again (plastic). I put it away and it hasn't been out since. Absolute waste of money.

Singer 7442 Mechanical Sewing Machine Used Only Ab

Singer 7442 Mechanical Sewing Machine used only about 4 times in 6 months span for very light sewing. called singer, put on hold at least 30 minutes every single time! singer is horrible, horrible, horrible....i say....so far as their customer service in which i am surpise that they can even all it that! you are basically screwed whenever you buy a singer machine! avoid purchasing at all cost. i paid over $200 for total rubbish! you cannot even speak with a manager to escalate your concerns.

To Begin My Singer 7442 Mechanical Sewing Machine

To begin my Singer 7442 Mechanical Sewing Machine review with, Singer sold out a few years back. What's on the store shelf isn't the same machine my grandma has had over 60 years. I bought the name...paid $200.00 for this machine and it seems Singer won't stand behind the warranty! I've been sewing for over 30 years, and this machine is junk, sorry! I took it to the shop and they told me the timing is out...that it's just one of the 4 or 5 common problems that this machine has. The repair man asked me just how much I wanted to sink into this machine, because even if it's fixed, it might be back in for repairs soon. I emailed Singer and they emailed that either I had it threaded wrong or that I had broken a needle! I thought breaking needles was a common occurrence with sewing, that's why you buy them as multiples! SO my advice is if you're looking for a machine to last, then don't purchase this machine. If you want a 'cheap' machine to do basic sewing and mending with, then buy an old machine and take it in and have it serviced properly. You'll be $$$$ ahead, and will have a machine that will stand up.
