Janome 8080

The Janome 8080 is a great machine. The only thing that's not covered in the manual is that it says "SP" in the window when the bobbin winder is activated (and that the buttonholes move backwards instead of forward from the start). I got it on clearance with only one foot, and the feet are expensive (I've spent $50 on feet just to get a buttonhole, and darning foot, and it's another $50 for the walking foot, all of which were supposed to come with the machine).

Very easy to use, feels 'comfortable'. The Janome 8080 sewing machine is a dependable gem.

I have two 8080's and the Janome Quilting Companion. I use one of the 8080 for traveling. The Quilting Companion was a very expensive machine, but the 8080 sews better and I tend to use it more. The free motion quilting is more even and works better. A great machine for the money!

I really love sewing with this Janome 8080 machine. It is very easy to use and the stitchng is so smooth and amazingly quiet. The quality of the stitches are really great. Some of the feet included are the walking foot, overcast foot and the zig-zag foot(more included). I got this machine on sale at Sears for only $299.99 so I am very satisfied. There is a Decor 3060(I think thats the model) machine from Janome that sells at retailers for $499.99 with the exact same stitches and features. Why pay more? Sears will make the repairs in the event the machine would require servicing. The sales woman was very well educated on the workings of this machine. I can't say enough about the quality of this machine and I have no regrets.
