Whirlpool ADP5406

we have owned this model for over a year and it has broken down twice recently,i put it on a diffrent setting,it worked fine for two washes,it has now stopped altogether on any setting.wouldnt reccomend it to anyone.

Awful machine!Save your money. Performs constantly badly, only chance of getting anything vaguely clean is using highest temp programme ad then it seems to clean only if it feels like it. Do not buy this machine!!!!

I have owned this machine for just over a year. Unfortunately it started going wrong about 3 days after the warranty expired!! It is constantly breaking down. We bought this as it wasn't cheap, and we thought whirlpool were supposed to be a good brand. The crockery and cutlery were never cleaned well enough, no matter what programme was used, and glasses always had deposits on them. This was my first experience of a dishwasher, and i gather from friends, that what is happening is not acceptable, but too late, no guarantee any more!! This has definately made me want to steer clear of whirlpool in future.

This dishwasher has been a problem from day one. Persistent electrical glitches caused by poor quality components. Although it washes pretty well ( when it works), it is difficult to load and doesn't have sufficient capacity - bottom shelf / rack is particulary poorly designed.

I agree with the other reviews I've seen advising against this machine. The dishes definitely do not get clean as they should be, and this is after testing multiple different detergents and pre-soaking everything. It hasn't cut down on dishwashing time at all, and has broken down already once. The service was inexplicably bad, with no clear answers or recommendations. The repairman was very good but the scheduling made it not worth it. The product itself looks good and is easy to use, but the finished product leaves a little to be asked for.

The salesman who sold this Whirlpool to us must have been on a huge commission, how else could such a bad product be sold. Whatever programme used the plates come out dirty. Large plates don't stack easily side by side.

Programme runs go on for ever and the ecowash seems to take longer and use more electricity than the other functions.

We've stopped using it and only wash by hand now. Much quicker and cleaner.

What a waste!

We bought the Whirlpool ADP5406 in March 2008. It didn't work properly, on any programme, so the Whirlpool ADP5406 was replaced in September. The same problems occurred and an engineer was sent by Whirlpool in December and he said there was nothing wrong with it. In January 2009 a new control board was fitted - but it still doesn't work.

Whirlpool have said that they have not heard of any other compaints about the Whirlpool ADP5406

Our Whirlpool ADP5406 is an awful machine. The computer board that controls the wash programs constantly fails. I have had 2 replacement boards in six months and the machine has now failed again.

Whatever you do, I advise you don't buy this machine!
