Smeg DWF612 Free-Standing Dishwasher

We have had the diswasher for 2 years.The start button has just broken (pushed through the button hole) and the machine won`t work.I have attempted to repairit, as it is out of warranty, but it would appear that a thin plastic strip has snapped off the start switch,with this level of engineering I am surprised that it has lasted so long. It is very flimsy, difficult to use, difficult to load effectively (tall glasses fall over and large plates can`t be used) and in general is a very poor piece of kit. It looks ok but I would recommend that anyone buying a dishwasher look elsewhere. I will not buy another SMEG

This machine cost me approximately £4 for each time I used it, no including water, electricity or detergent.
