Our Maytag Mdb9150 Has Been A Disaster. We Also Or

Our Maytag MDB9150 has been a disaster. We also ordered a stove from them. The clock doesn't work and since it's digital when the clock messes up so does our oven function. The repair technician has been in four times and replaced the part twice. They still refused to replace our stove. DO NOT GO WITH ANYTHING FROM MAYTAG. Their products are unreliable but, worse, their "customer service" very poor.

After We Had This Maytag Mdb9150, I Will Never Buy

After we had this Maytag MDB9150, I will never buy Maytag again. This was our first time buying Maytag and our last. I highly recommend you look at products other than Maytag. The handle on our Maytag has had to be replaced TWICE in just 4 years of use. Maytag will do nothing about this other than recommend a service call. I also have a Maytag washing machine and that received service 3 times in just 4 years of use.

I Sold Most Brands Of Dishwashers For Many Years A

I sold most brands of dishwashers for many years and am familiar with how dishwashers should perform. I could not be more pleased with this model. It is extremely quiet and cleans as good or better than any dishwasher I have sold or owned. The dishes also come out drier than I have seen from most models. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Avoid All Maytag Products. Customer Service Was Us

Avoid all Maytag products. Customer service was useless and would not do anything for me other than set-up a service call which I would have to pay for.

The Maytag Mdb9150 Certainly Looks The Part - It's

The Maytag MDB9150 certainly looks the part - it's a slimline washer that comes in a bullet-steel, jet black or white finish. The machine is so easy to use that an idiot could manage it, all buttons are soft and sensitive and you know when you have pushed a button as a light comes on as confirmation - simple. I've already thrown the instruction book in the bin without looking at page 1. The inside of the washer certainly gets the job done as well, it has a very useful deep lower shelf that can accommodate the biggest of kitchen accessories, the top shelf is also big enough to store large glasses. This washer, unlike others I have had, has yet to damage any of my goods and that includes delicate items.

You get the facility to use 4 different types of wash, but I'm not the picky type so I stick it on 'standard'. The results on this option suit me just fine, and the machine does a damn good job of removing the garbage off my plates. Other pluses of this machine include a time delay option allowing me to set the washer for different times of the day, it's of no real use to me, but I imagine it could have its benefits for those who plan their day like clockwork. The amount of noise a washer makes is a big selling point for many people and this is where the Maytag really comes into its own - it makes less noise than a monk taking a vow of silence.

I really can't fault this item - BUY IT!!!

This looks like Maytag propaganda. Why would anyone bother telling us the colour options and programmes they do not use? Sorry Maytag - we've rumbled you!

I Have Had My Maytag Dishwasher For 5 Years And It

I have had my Maytag dishwasher for 5 years and it has always been a piece of junk. Just cheap and poorly made. I had a kitchenaid for 20 years before this and it never screwed up.

Maytag Dishwashers May Be Quiet, But Do They Work?

Maytag dishwashers may be quiet, but do they work?

Anyone Who Has Read My Review Of The Bosch Shu

Anyone who has read my review of the Bosch SHU53 knows that I'm in the market for a dishwaster. So I checked out Maytag based on my very good luck with my Jenn Air (a Maytag label) refrigerator and Maytag Neptune washer & dryer set. The model that caught my eye was the MDB9150. It sounds a lot like the Bosch SHU53 and is advertised as having the "EQ Plus Sound Package." Unfortunately, I looked all over the Maytag website and could not find a dB rating anywhere. This struck me as odd so I contacted Maytag and asked for the dB rating on the machine. Their response is quoted below:

"Thank you for visiting the Maytag Home Page. We welcome the opportunity to assist you.

We are sorry, we do not have this information available to release to the public.

If you have further questions or comments, please e-mail or contact our Customer Service Department at the toll-free number listed below.

Sincerely,

Deanna

Maytag Customer Service"

To be fair, I could understand this response if they made no claim that their dishwasher was quiet. But they do claim it is quiet. So why will they not define "quiet" with a common term (such as dB)? Makes you wonder doesn't it? So heads up folks. Seems it's buyer beware on the quiet claim. If anyone knows the dB rating for this machine, I'd like to have the information. The Bosch SHU53 is rated at 49dB.

I would beware the Maytag's "quiet" claim. I had the same experience when I called Maytag customer service - I spoke with a rep and he said they do not rate the quietness of their dishwashers and could not confirm or be obligated by any third party ratings (i.e., consumer reports). I have a new Maytag (Quiet Package 100, not sure of model) and it is louder than my 13 year old GE that I replaced. My experience is that quiet to one person is loud to another. Without an independent barometer, such as decibels, "quiet" is a relative term that Maytag apparently uses loosely.

Barry.....according to the dBA scale on www.reliance.com, 48dBA is the level of noise in a Department Store's Clothing Department. Doesn't say how many people were there!

mlsw1.

seems to me you're rating the maytag website customer service and not the dishwasher. The comments by others are much more helpful than the review.

Barry.

48 dBA, it says so on the maytag web site

I just bought a Maytag dishwasher with the EQ system. This dishwasher is VERY quiet. I can hardly tell it's on and my kitchen is very close to my living room. I don't know what the db rating is but it is very quiet.
