We Have An Integrated Bosch Dishwasher In Our 18 B

We have an integrated Bosch dishwasher in our 18 bed ski chalet in France. It would normally have cost in excess of £400 but it came free with our MFI kitchen.Used 3 times a day during ski season using low temperature wash cycle and does the job beautifully; no fuss,or noise apart from when it sings to let you know its finished. We purchased this model for our home in the uk, hoping that whilst it didn't have all the extras it would still do the basic job of washing and drying the dishes. Unfortunately our 15 year old rusty hotpoint did the job better. It doesn't take the tea stains from cups, items are not dry at the end of the cycle and we can't seem to get in the number of dishes that our old hotpoint crystaljet used to take {trust me I am a master stacker}. So would I recommend this model to a friend -definitely not. I am not your usual moaner who finds fault with everything - this is only my second bad review ever. However I do believe that during these tough times consumers should be aware that this model does not represent value for money We only paid £240 for it but it ain't much good if it doesn't get the crocs clean and dry. German efficiency ? I think not!. Especially when it doesn't do what is says on the box!! I have a lot of Bosch kit but this is definitely one that will be'sold with the house''!

I Did A Negative Review On This Bosch Product In J

I did a negative review on this Bosch product in June of '05 and believe it is good to follow up with a balancing view 8 months later.

Sears since bailed Bosch out. They initially wanted to replace parts but then decided to replace the entire unit. Leaks were the installer's error so watch that guy regardless of the appliance.

We are now extremely happy with the unit's performance. By using the rinse cycle first, we do no rinsing ourselves. Quiet, the Whirlpool we had could not be run while using the TV in the next room. With the Bosch we are constantly going over to it an putting our ear to it to make sure it was turned on. (I think they since added a light) After a bumpy start we are very happy with it. Sears may be a lousy customer (I sell to them) but our local store is great.

I Too Have A Bosch Sg5312 Series Dishwasher, Along

I too have a Bosch SG5312 series dishwasher, along with a number of other Bosch domestic appliances. All were purchased on the brand name and the apparent quality and service support that goes with the brand.

Unfortunately, my dishwasher has just packed up, again! After having had the detergent assembly replaced after only a short period, the machine now seems to only get halfway through its operating cycles.

On contacting local service agents, I am told that they no longer deal with Bosch (I wonder why!) according to Bosch this is because they now have their own "highly trained service engineers who can diagnose and repair this highly complex appliance" - just who are they kidding, a dishwasher is a highly complex machine!

Bosch service gave me a take it or leave it response when I asked if it is acceptable that this high quality brand machine should fail twice in under 4 years.

So, I cannot recommend Bosch service centre support like I cannot recommend this applicance, and if Bosch are not prepared to accept that a recurring fault is a design/manufacturing issue, that I should not have to pay to rectify, then I can no longer support Bosch products - period.

Bosch, if you are listening, it does not matter how many millions of appliances you sell, it only takes a handful of problems to lose your brand reputation, comments posted on the web like this need to be followed up not laughed off.
