Do Not Buy A Samsung Fridge!!

Firstly I have only given it one star as it has to have at least 1 star to complete the review, deserves no stars!!

Our samsung fridge freezer has been making an awful loud buzzing sound for about a yr now but recently we have noticed it is making it more frequently and also a loud cracking noise. we've recently found that the food near the top of the fridge is spoiling within 2 days and the food at the bottom of the fridge is frozen! An example...had ingredients to make spaghetti carbonara went to chop the onion (kept in the bottom drawer) and it was frozen solid, ok so no onion in the carbonara, went to pour in the cream (kept on the top shelf, bought 2 days before with a weeks use by date) and it was a solid sour lump! Thank god for tinned tomatoes!! Googled this problem and my "symptoms" were the same as everyone else's, frozen air vent, loud noises, spoiled/frozen food etc. phoned samsung and they checked the model & serial numbers she came back with this model does not show any defects as it was manufactured after the original "faulty fridge freezers" so nothing they can do! We've had it 3 years but because the manufacture date was '08 the 5 yr warranty has run out! She gave me the number of the nearest service centre who wants £85 just to come and see the fridge and then parts and labour on top! According to the other comments I have found this wont solve the problem just gives more time before it happens again! So new fridge freezer added to the spiralling home renervation budget! Avoid samsung products!!

Faulty And Samsung Don't Want To Know

The crushed ice function is limited. I was describe the ice as chopped rather than crushed as the pieces are still large.

I've owned it for 3 years and the fridge compartment has started to build up with ice and food items are not lasting. It seems that this has been a common fault but Samsung will only repair for free those fridges manufactured before Jun 08.

2 Repairs In 4 Years

Don't buy. After two years the fridge started icing internally. Two more years and the compressor has broken and the freezer stopped working followed shortly by the whole unit. Look online as many have had the similar problem. Samsung do not accept anything is faulty. Have replaced parts under warranty but don't spen money on a product tha lasted two years before further repairs were needed.

Looks Are Great,stylish And Ice On Tap Appealed,bu

Looks are great,stylish and ice on tap appealed,but have had a few problems with ice forming around vents/odourizer. Problem was thermostat not keeping heater on long enough so created ice build up around fan.This thermostat was changed and moved a little higher on heater so it would take longer to reach its temp and this would melt the ice build up, also a new fan(basically bottom half of fridge) was fitted. Recently been having problems with earth leakage fault tripping electric off in house,found to be the fridge/freezer. On inspection found the heater was staying on too long and had melted/cracked the plastic back of the fridge, behind the heater. Am now awaiting call back from Samsung regarding issue.

Bought fridge in oct 07, although out of warranty repair and upgrade(due to fire risk) feb 10, earth fault intermittent since july 10. Was happy Samsung agreed to send engineer out when out of warranty, but for the money would expect better quality!!!

WE also have one of these fridges and are disappointed how quick it has broken down considering the money we also paid for this fridge. The fridge was bought over 3 years ago but has only been plumbed in and running for the past 2 and half years. As well as having the same issues with ice build up the compressor has gone and we are not covered on the warranty. £240 to repair, I have bought new fridge freezers for that which have lasted a lot more years which I have had previously. Would deff not recommend this product and I most deff will not be buying Samsung ever again and will encourage friends and family to do the same.

(rsh1dtmh ) Fridge Frezer Had 1 Day Of Guarantee

(rsh1dtmh ) fridge frezer had 1 day of guarantee left when fridge started to make loud noise ,contacted comet who said how lucky i was that it had broke within the 2 year guarantee!! (my last fridgefreezer went for over 10 years without any problems ) engineer came out and said it was the cooling fan and ordered a new one due to be fitted this friday .which is good but i was told that the new part had no guarantee . so now im wondering what happens if goes wrong again. im now looking to take out an extended warrantee which is more money,as i dont trust this product. surely expensive electrical goods should last atleast 5 years minimum.

Two Months On And 5 Engineer Vists And 3 Repairs L

Two months on and 5 engineer vists and 3 repairs later Samsung have agreed to replace my Fridge Freezer with a new one. The present one has the compressor running constantly until it needs to defrost, then all goes quiet, followed by a loud bang as the ice drops off inside and then the compressor starts up again. The Samsung Customer Service staff are strict about proceedure being followed, totally un-bending. My retailer offered to exchange the FF for another but Samsung said I needed three completed repairs before they would authorise an exchange. I like the Fridge Freezer and want one that works properly but they (Samsung) are awaiting delivery of new stock?? I would have thought they have stock in dealerships that they could call on.

My Samsung Rsh1dtmh Is Only Under Six Months Old C

My Samsung RSH1DTMH is only under six months old cost £650,It has not worked for the last 2 weeks. Three engineering visits 3 parts changed.

The worst thing by far is Samsung's so called customer service.

Where is the water filter located? I have looked at the online manual that advises it is in the fridge in the top right hand corner, but mine is not.
