Fed Up With Being Mucked Around By Well Known Shop
Fed up with being mucked around by well known shops and catalogues with £30 delivery charges and delivery when they want to weeks in the future I decided to patronise a local shop for my purchase of a fridge freezer one that I had never used before.
I noticed a couple of models with a unknown brand but just as I was about to purchase one of them I spied the Servis M0263S fridge freezer in silver for £249.99. The silver colour is my favourite for "white" goods. Having already checked the price included free delivery the next day a deal was done. I was just inside my budget.
The product was delivered as promised the next day and I was very happy with The Servis M0263S as it was a massive improvement over my previous LG fridge.
Then on looking in the Tesco Direct catalogue I just picked up while shopping for frozen food to put into my new fridge frezer, I noticed the same model was £125 more expensive with delivery in it! That is what I call a saving.
So far my new fridge freezer has worked perfectly.
It broke down after six months so I called Service who sent an engineer out to repair it with out delay at no cost to me. He did not even want to see my receipt that is what I call service.

After Just 2 Months The Fridge Stopped Working And
After just 2 months the fridge stopped working and ice formed in the "frost-free" freezer. As the Servis call centre is only open between 9:30 and 4:30 Monday to Friday and I work 9-5 Monday to Friday it's difficult enough finding the time to contact them and annoying to know that problems are left over the weekend because they don't work weekends. My problem occurred on a Friday and I was left without a working fridge over the weekend and told the engineer would visit on the following Wednesday. Servis asked us twice to describe the problem but didn't bother to pass this information onto the engineer. When he arrived he was there less than 5 minutes and said that the parts we needed had to be ordered as he didn't have them in his van. He said it would take a couple of days. Another weekend passes. Eventually they call me on the Thursday, it's now been 13 days since they were ifnormed of the problem. The Engineer comes on the following Monday, replaces 2 parts, and tells me that we have to defrost the freezer, i.e. turn it off for a while, before the fridge will work properly again. We tried this and guess what? It still isn't working. We looked at the fridge door and it looks like the seal is coming away at the top leaving a gap which prevents it from getting cold enough inside as the cold air is escaping through it. I've already had to take 2 days off work as they can't give time slots and my problem still hasn't been fixed. I'm extremely unhappy as I bought a Servis thinking this was a good brand and paid a lot of money for it and now it looks like I'm stuck with a useless piece of junk. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING A SERVIS FRIDGE FREEZER!

I Was Not Too Sure After The First Couple Of Days,
I was not too sure after the first couple of days, that I had done the right thing in buying a Servis. Within a few weeks the freezer drawers were covered in about 25cm of ice. Bearing in mind it is supposed to be frost-free, I was not too impressed. An engineer came out and declared that a new door was required. Weeks have gone by, and surprise surprise, no door as yet. Never again will a Servis product be bought by myself or any other member of my family.

My Servis Mo330al Fridge Stopped Working 2 Months
My Servis MO330AL Fridge stopped working 2 months after the warranty expired. It looks like this may be a common problem.

I Bought A Servis M0330 Fridge Freezer 14 Months A
I bought a Servis M0330 fridge freezer 14 months ago. The fridge has packed up completely, and the frost free freezer has ice in it! I have been told the problem is a warped seal on the door, and it needs a new door costing around £137 plus fitting. Now that it's out of warranty no-one wants to know, and I'm left with the choice of an expensive repair job or buying a new fridge freezer.
I would never buy another Servis product; and the very name, well where's the servis?
My fridge has just packed in too. I also bought the unit 14 months ago and warranty was out in Dec2005. Surely if this is a common fault they have to pay for repair or replace product despite warranty having expired.

The Fridge Section Of My Servis Mo330al Fridge Fre
The fridge section of my Servis MO330AL fridge freezer became a warm cupboard after 6 weeks. Servis Engineer finally turns up after 5 phone calls and 1 week, and establishes that it has an internal gas leak, and is beyond economic repair.
Rang "Customer Service" 3 days later and was informed that they were unable to do anything because they had apparently not received the engineer's report. I asked them to call the engineer, but was told this was not possible because "they were not able to make external phone calls". I demanded to talk to a manager, and after 10 minutes was finally put through to a Supervisor. She said that she would take personal charge of the issue. She rang the next day and told me that that they had now received the report and that somebody would ring me, probably in 3 to 5 working days, to arrange collection of the unserviceable unit and delivery of a replacement. I told her that this was totally unacceptable and that I was so dissatisfied with Servis that I wanted a full refund. After arguing with me, and only after I had reminded her of my consumer rights and the law, did she tell me that I would have to go back to the shop I bought it from to be provided with a refund.
After ringing the shop immediately and waiting a day, I rang them again and was told they were waiting for a response from Servis!. After 3 further phone calls, I was told I would have to contact Servis for them to collect the unserviceable fridge/freezer, and once they had then I would receive a refund.
I called "Customer Service" and was put through to the "Distribution" section. I was told that the fridge/freezer could not be collected until a Manager had given authorisation. I asked them to pursue this immediately and to ring me back before close of business. A day later a manager still hadn't authorised its collection. After demanding that the person I was speaking to, either take the paperwork for signature to the Manager immediately, or put me through to the Managing Director of Servis UK Ltd as I wished to discuss the irony of Servis's company name. I was told that a lorry would call to my house the next day to collect the unit.
I am pleased to report that after 5 weeks from the initial report, they finally collected the useless silver cupboard, and that I no longer have to deal with the worse company I have every had the misfortune to come across. You have been warned!
