Gone On And On

Have had one of these for over ten years, it's been through four house moves and twice taken out of use and stored in a garden shed, then pit back into service. Still going strong, not bad for what at the time was the cheapest fridge freezer available. Only complaint is that the freezer is a bit too cold!

I Bought The Beko Fg950 Frost Free Slimline Freeze

I bought the Beko FG950 frost free slimline freezer, I liked the fact that it had all the feature that I was looking for, and had never bought this brand before but thought hey what the heck - based on previous experience of hotpoint which had lasted over 10 years. The freezer stopped working after 14 months. Told by customer care, would have to pay for it to be fixed as out of guarantee. Facing a £50 call out fee alone. Very poor product which cost circa £300, would never ever buy this brand again. What a waste of money.

Would Not Buy Again. I Find It Difficult To Accept

Would not buy again. I find it difficult to accept that the noise level is normal but it works and that seems to be good enough for Beko.

Buy cheap, buy twice. It looks good and it does the job but it is very noisy and if I had heard the Beko FG950 before I bought it I would have gone for something else.

I had a beko and the noise it made was shocking - I could hear it from 2 levels up at night!

I've Got A Beko Frost Free Fridge Freezer. After

I've got a Beko frost free fridge freezer. After 12 month warranty, noticed ice forms at the bottom of the freezer compartment. I called Beko and all they said to do is to defrost it! This is meant to be a frost free freezer. Now temperature in fridge compartment goes to 6-9 deg c.

I will never buy any Beko products again.

Please Note That This Review Is Not Specific To Th

Please note that this review is not specific to the model but more about Beko as a company. I will post this on both products.

I have had a Beko fridge freezer for a number of years - The build quality is what you expect for what you pay. The unit has been reliable but a few months ago the seal around the fridge door finally gave up. I contacted Beko parts services in the UK and parted with £60 for a replacement door. Finally after about 3 weeks the door arrived but was damaged. I contacted Beko and they ordered me another one once they had got UPS the courier to accept liability. This took over a week to be finally told that I had to take the new door to the tip. So I waited another three weeks for the second door to arrive. Again it has some slight damage to it but not enough to warrant another three weeks. So I fitted the new door and Beko have changed the specifications of the door because now once the furniture is fitted (Milk and bottle holder) the door does not shut.

So back on the phone to Beko UK but of course they cannot do anything as they have to contact Beko somewhere else in the world to find out what has happened.

So as you can imagine I am very unhappy with their aftersales services.

Just bought a Beko "frost free" Fridge freezer for my 80 year old mum sound like I'll regret it! I had to change the door around to suit her kitchen and needs. This was a nightmare as it took over an hour of struggling with a range of tools and unbelievable energy as reversing the brackets involves tipping the Freezer back and tapping out the holes with the self tapping screws through 2-3 mm of metal which had paint in them to start with. The instructions said use a cross head screwdriver but the screws were Hex nuts with star shaped centres. 30 seconds in the factory to tap out the holes would have helped! Don't let the sales people tell you changing the doors around is easy it is really very difficult and your average householder would not be able to do it!
