AEG 75388 SANTO

First the fan went, just after warranty expired.Service agent said it was "beyond repair". Independent engineer said service agent had cut the wrong wires for some reason. Fridge then repaired.Then defrost unit went. Replaced. Now its gone again. Hundreds of pounds on repairs, hours on phone and waiting for repairs. Now only fit for scrap. What a waste of money.

An extremely bad piece of kit.

Attractive and nicely finished, which is what you would expect for what is a very expensive fridge/freezer, but totally unreliable. Fridge unit routinely breaks down due to a known fault that you will see countless references to in web fora. Am at the point of having to replace after only three years of use.

Avoid with a vengeance. To that end, avoid anything with the name 'Electrolus' with a vengeance...

the AEG 75388 SANTO is a lovely looking product, bought late 2005 not cheap but buying a trusted brand name so prepared to pay a higher price. wish i hadnt bothered its has been a complete waste of £700. not worked properly for the past year, cost £110 3 weeks ago to repair and its now broke down again, have now been quoted another £150 to repair. i am now at he point where i am just going to scrap it and buy a cheap 1. This is my first AEG product and my last very dissapointing experience.
