Grand Theft From Optima/ Erad Systems

Paid 50% deposit for 21 rads - from Erad systems ltd,not only did they not get delivered -but Optima (connected to ERAD) came with 3 fitters & 2 electricians BUT nothing to fit.

they even billed me for the survey & the 'aborted' fitting .

the boss has since closed this company as it has so many problems and court orders against - all those guys involved are dishonest & criminal and need to locked up.

to add to the worst - they agreed to pay half of it back -

still hasn't paid a penny back - basically theft

avoid anything to do with these companies

Erad Systems Ltd

I was persuaded to install this electric radiant heat system in preference to replacing my old gas boiler. It cost me £7500, but I was assured that with the saving I made, it would have paid for itself in five years. It was worked out that my energy costs would be reduced by 70% That is a bad joke. The system works well, but my electricity costs have soared by 200%

I did not receive my light bulbs, and it is impossible to contact Optima Energy Solutions Ltd. I understand they have gone into liquidation.

I am an OAP, and I do not know where to turn to.

our friend had this system e rad fitted in February this year cost 10 k

We feared at the time this was a scam ,then we watched don't get done get Dom

So today we rang the energiy company for some figures to find they are horrendous

He's 75 had cancer and all the treatment that goes with it , he likes to be warm and these people

Come in get him to have his perfectly good heating system out for this system which will if he keeps it on

Cost him a fortune . How can they sleep.

Voluntary Liquidation

If there was an option for "Zero stars" then that is what I would have chosen for this company.

I have added replies to a couple of reviews already, regarding my elderly father not receiving his depoit money back so this is just to update you all on recent developments.

Optima Energy Solution Limited is applying for voluntary liquidation. As a creditor, my father received his letter regarding this last week.

Voluntary Liquidation? I don't profess to be an expert in all of this but I guess that all this means is that once this has gone through the company will pop up again in the near future with a different name.

I hope that anyone who is owed money by this company, manages to reclaim it and for those of you who have bought their product, may it continue to work and deliver all the savings that the company said it would.

Do Not Uphold Their Contractual Obligations

As far as I am concerned, stay well clear. The duped my father in law into buying their system, he then died and they have since reneged on their contract. They have just gone quiet and will not answer our calls or emails.

This company has gone into voluntary liqdation so I don't think you will get your money back. They knew they was struggling but still they carried on taking people's money they took our and now we've lost ours.

I had erad fit my rads a month ago their package included free led light bulbs and free heating for a year for a month I phones them every day no answer now both phone numbers are dead have they stopped trading?

I don't think you will be getting your light bulbs now I have had a letter sent to me today saying OPTIMA ENERGY SOLUTIONS LIMITED PROPOSED CREDITORS VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION COMPANY NO: 08508808 so I don't know how or what this means for people like me and others who they owe money to. They took our money knowing that they was in trouble.

I have been trying to get our money back since 5/2/15 now no one answers the phones, emails, Recorded Letters everthing we was told has been lies he said he owned the company he was managering director he was available 24/7 everything has been Lies. Now it has come to taking Court Action. So Beware

Riped Off

After Optima Energy Solutions came out we gave them a cheque for £994 as deposit we decided to cancel the order within the cooling off period which is 14 days and we did it in 7 days we are now up to 52 days and they are still with holding our money which should have been returned to us within 14 days. I have sent 4 Recorded letters lost track of how many phone calls and emails we have sent. They are useing out of date contracts was told a lot of lies by the person who came out he said he Owened the company and was Managing Director all this was lies. This company has just ripped a pensioner off and has taken our money I would defiantly NOT recommend this company. I have notified Trading Standards about this company.

This sounds an all too familiar tale.

We have also put £3000 down as a deposit for the Erad System. We bagan to loose confidence in the company, and wished to cancel before our loan agreement was approved.

A lack of answering calls, responding to emails, and eventually registered delivery letters that clearly spell out that we will have no choice other than to take legal action. All ignored.

I am interested in anyone's findings regarding the current fiscal position of Optima Energy.

Absolutely appalling customer service.

Hi thought I would let you know that we received a letter today about OPTIMA ENERGY SOLUTIONS LIMITED PROPOSED CREDITORS VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION COMPANY NO: 08508808 I don't know if you have had a letter. I don't know how this works and if you will get any money back as I don't even know if we will get ours but it doesn't look good. Feel they have just Ripped us off.

My Dad is the pensioner that they owe £3,000 to. We have taken them to the Small Claims Court - they failed to repsond within the required timeframe and so now requested judgement. I think it will end up going to court. All I can say is that my Dad may be too frail to deal with this but I certainly am not!

Over the last few months I have spoken with a few different 'plausible' yet what I consider unprofessional and useless people at the company. This whole situation has exacerbated my Dad's ill-health. I hope Optima Energy Solutions Ltd is happy to have at least achieved something.

I've also spoken with Companies House and signed up to email alerts regarding the company. If I get one through advising that the company tries to dissolve whilst our claim is going through, then I just contact Companies House and they will not allow it to happen.

I will keep you all updated on our developments.

Had Heaters Installed Recently.got Problems To Be Sorted

unfortunately there never seems to be anybody in the office. have been trying to contact them for over a week sometimes its staff training another time its unforeseen circumstances.but the usual one is office not open till 9am the following day.was given a guide after installation on costs which contradicts most of what the rep told us.looks like being the biggest and certainly the most expensive mistake of our lives.if only I could find away to get our money back

I to are having trouble with them everything he told use when he came has turned out to be lies and as you said they don't answer phone calls, emails, Recorded Letters. They took our money and banked it within the cooling off period and now they wont refund it even after speaking to there legal department she agreed that she would sort our full refund out that was weeks ago. Agree with everything you say. We had this system installed in Dec2013 and since then it's increased our energy costs by over 50%, from £1200 a year previous to installing it to over £1800 this last year. We signed an agreement with the company last Aug. that if it didn't save us at least 50% over the next 6 months they would refund our money and reimburse us for any additional heating costs. Needless to say that now this period has expired we have been unable to contact them. They do not reply to phone calls, respond to e-mails nor answer letters, even the one threatening to take them to the small claims court. I intend to sue them if they are still trading but things do not look good. For two days their offices have been closed due to 'unforeseen' circumstances. They seem to be in trouble. The group chairman resigned earlier in the month, their supplier, Logicor, told me in February that they had disassociated themselves from them because of the flack they were getting because of Optima's abysmal customer services (though Optima's in- house solicitor denied this ), they seemed to have sacked several people and to cap it all someone has complained to the Advertising Standards Association about misleading claims in their advertising material. This claim was upheld, the ASA ruling that their energy saving claims could not be substantiated. See asa's website. Their website is now down, or rather 'under construction' . We wait to see what will happen next.

After Agreeing To Buy This To Be More Green And Re

After agreeing to buy this to be more green and reduce energy usage and therefore costs, within 2 weeks was very concerned that costs were spiraling. Rooms were very hot or very cold. Many complaints to the company including two visits to their offices produced no response. Radiators had not been positioned where agreed at survey.

My heating bills have gone up by 200%.

We have had bad dealing with this company they took our money but we canceled within the cooling off period and they won't give use our money back lost count how many phone calls emails Recorded Letters all to no avail, spoke to there legal department and she agreed to send a full refund in which we was entitled to that was a few weeks ago and we are still waiting. Reported them to Trading Standards Watchdog. The Manchester Evening done a large article on them in April 2014 as they had been given a large grant from Manchester Council so I thought you could trust them. How Wrong was we.

No Savings On Energy Cost Survey Incorrect A Farce

After having doubts because of the contradictory explanations of the erad system by the initial salesman and the surveyor, I canceled the contract a manager came and allayed my doubts. I also wanted to keep some rads with the gas central heating in rooms that are not used regularly I was told this would not be efficient for the erad system and said I could have the extra rads at no extra cost. Foolish me! believed all the literature and promises and now left with a cold house extortionate electricity costs, holes in the wall and pocket!

The survey it turns out was not carried out properly by the surveyor and the manager therefore cold areas in my house. Knowledge of the erad smart control pad proved to be minimal and instruction inadequate.

In desperation I contacted the manufacturers who surveyed the installation finding wrong heaters installed and not enough of them for my type of house! This saga is ongoing.

Not surprised there is not a reply from this company, future events will speak for themselves.

Agree with all the above. Been there done that . Worst thing is the horrendous cost. System is sold on the basis of saving on energy bills. Mine have increased by 20% and I expect further increase when my meter is read next . Also Very Expensive system.Company will not make contact - impossible to get past receptionist.Have asked for system to be removed and money refunded due to misleading sales info on cost savings.Pigs might fly ! I know three other people with similar problems and I would warn people to beware if they are approached by these people. They seem to target elderly people.

This company is in liquidation so you carnt find them any more. Even when they knew they was in trouble they still kept sending sales men round selling the product and taking money knowing they couldn't deliver. We paid a deposit then decided to cancel but they wouldn't give us our money back for weeks we kept ringing and even spoke to there legal dept who promised to send our money back but it never came, so we decided to go to the small claims court but by the time we got it they had gone into liquidation all because we trusted them at there word. My husband had heart failure and all this extra stress hasn't helped him. We went with this company because the Manchester Council had given them a grant/loan so they have been caught out as well.

My Dad phoned me this morning. He has received something from the company's legal representatives regarding liquidation. He is forwarding to me today as unfortunately he is very confused. I will take a look and let you know.

E.rad system installed on Jan 8th and am appalled by the amount of electricity that is being used. Would like somebody to explain how to use the system properly? I have asked for this on numerous occasions but to no avail.

We was told they could see from the office if the systems wasn't working right and they would contact you, this must be another Lie and we have had plenty of Lies from them. At least you got somthing for your money even if your not sure how to use it they just took ours and we got nothing. We are now taking Court Action they have just Riped off a Pensioner. Hope you get sorted
