Dualit 72600

Bought a jug kettle (pink) and matching toaster, thought they were quality items........kettle only lasted 13 months, couldn't believe it when it broke.....toaster lasted a bit longer then the elements went on that item too. In future i would buy cheaper products. Items look good and stylish but not value for money at all.

Owned my first Dualit Dome Kettle for less than a year, it started to over boil and didn't switch off. I informed Dualit who kindly replaced it for me, but it cost £9 in shipping to get my faulty machine to them. Just over a year later my second stopped working, no sign of problems, just refused to work one day. I got in touch with Dualit again who weren't interested at all, explained it was a sealed unit so no repairs could be carried out, offered 25% off a new machine which I declined as I decided to cut my losses. Over £70, (£80 if you add the shipping for the return of my first faulty machine), is a high price for a kettle for only two years service. Not impressed and I held Dualit in such high esteem, I have a coffee maker of theirs and a four slice toaster. I would certainly consider other brands before Dualit in the future.

After 2 years it started to flicker between off and on when switched on. Now it has to be jiggled about on the base several times during the heating up to boil.Duralit service were quite helpful as after my determined complaining they offered me a 'dosply' kettle as replacement. This is the 3rd. and last Dualit kettle I will ever buy! The previous 2 leaked from the plastic window and had to be binned. The third, this one, was a different style so I hoped would be better. They are very stylish but sadly rubbish products for their price!
