We have tried two Hamilton Beach 40211 machines, bought at Starbucks, both stopped working after only about a month. Not happy.

I Did Get It On Sale. The Body Of The Machine Is A
I did get it on sale. The body of the machine is all metal no plastic parts to warp or crack. The Insulated Carafe is nice because I can take with me to any room and not have to worry about scorching the countertop.
I have now used the machine for a week and am very pleased. The coffee is great. It is easy to setup. The brewing is a little loud. With the insulated carafe it stays hot for a good long time. I usually get to work at 7:00 and having the coffee brewed and waiting is nice (using the program mode.) And it stays hot until about noon. At that point it gets a little too cool for my liking. Overall I'm happy with the machine.
what's the coffee like?

Well, After Parting Ways With A Delonghi Brand Cof
Well, after parting ways with a Delonghi brand coffee maker(disastrous), my wife purchased this Hamilton beach model 40211 coffee maker.
I am not very pleased withthis machine as it only performs the basic function, by definition, of brewing coffee.
Many of the advanced functions are not available such as: temperature control, brew strength control etc.
It does include an oversized backlit time display, coffee timer programming and auo shut off. These are all functions that you can find on any $29.00 coffeemaker.
When you pay $100 or more for a coffee maker, I expect the coffee to be scorching hot, not warm.
As for looks, well...its' a coffee maker. this model is offered in black w/stanless and white w/stainless.
It does seem more well thought out than the even more expensive Delonghi that we owned, unsuccessfully, prior to owning this coffee maker.
I would recommend that if you are just looking for a coffee makeer, save yourself the money and just buy whatever brand is on sale at Walmart for $30 bucks.
I would also suggest that if you want hot coffee, not tepid coffee, buy a french press and make your own
