Bosch Tassimo TAS4011GB

I needed something for my bedroom for when ill cant manager the stairs, it needed to be simple and as I have knocked over the kettle before, sturdy and easy to use.

Then I came across tassimo and its brilliant.

I can pop a t disc in the night before and cup on the plate and if need drink when poorly just press the button and all done. Cuts our lifting the kettle as after a seizure my balance is not great and I think I can do things that i cant.

So just press the button and it does the work for me, leaving me able to leave the disc in till able to sort things our safely.

Dont get me wrong, this machine will get a lot of use normally as we adore the flavors, but its simplicity is a bonus knowing how dopey I can be when ill.

The bonus of the 20.00 discount on tdiscs found in the box to use on line when registering it was a nice find.

fantastic machine, compact & easy to use, best I have had & I have had a few! I find the coffee strong & I like strong coffee. You can put the same disc in twice just use a tall mug. I add extra water to the tea as well as i find it too strong. This makes the price of the discs more reasonable. I was lucky & got my machine half price but think it is worth the money. The machine descales itself, its going through the program now. Love it.

The Bosch Tassimo TAS4011GB is a machine that I wish I had purchased a lot earlier than I did. It's a great coffee maker, quick and easy and has been very reliable. When I purchased it I had just missed out on an ARGOS promotion, selling them at half their £99 retail price. However, I still don't begrudge the money I paid for it.

It is extremely easy to use. You fill the water container at the back of the machine, insert the T-Disc (which has a barcode on it that is read by the machine) then press the button at the front to fill your cup. The machine heats the water as it goes through the system, so you get a hot cup of black coffee (or whatever) in about 30 seconds. If you want cream/milk in the coffee, just remove the coffee T-Disc and place in a creamer/milk one and repeat. The water container can make about 4-6 cups before needing to be refilled.

Cleaning is also very easy. Just place the yellow T-Disc (which comes with the machine) into the machine and press start. The system will flush clean, hot water though to wash away any coffee grounds/milk etc. It is important that you do this after doing a round of drinks as well as clean around the T-Disc holder area. Having not been so hot in this area, I have found that the rubber seal around that area has started to disintegrate and will need replacing soon....so KEEP CLEAN!!!! From time to time the system will also advise you to descale it. Again, very easy to do so just follow the instructions in the manual.

The T-Discs are sold at all good supermarkets or you can purchase them from the Tassimo website. The variety is great and range from decaf and speciality coffee's to Tea and Hot Chocolate. I regularly use the Kenko decaf coffee which tastes lovely.

The ONLY real issues I have are with the price of the T-Discs and recycling. For 16 decaf coffee discs without creamer it costs around £3.50. If you want creamers or milk discs, they cost around £2.70 for 8 (eight).

The T-Discs are plastic and foil (which is hard to remove) so local council recycling will NOT accept them. I have gone onto the Tassimo website and there is a 'used returns' scheme in place BUT it's dependant on where in the Country you are and how active it is.

I have gone into detail with this machine because, having read some of the other reviews I am amazed that some people have found it difficult to use. It is just NOT. It's a great machine that makes great coffee.

I love this machine for it's ease of use and for it's slick and appealing design. it reliably makes a very good coffee.

i have only just bought this machine i bought it because i saw it demonstrated in a store and loved the taste of the products looks good but i mostly bought it as the demonstrator assurred me the water reaches boiling point so i could use it like a kettle....well it dosen,t or am i doing something wrong!

The first machine lasted 1 month and them simply stopped working. The store replaced this with a second machine that stopped working after making one cup of coffee. In my experience this is a very unreliable machine.

Ever since I have owned this machine my life has become complete. Women fall at my feet, I have never been so popular.

I bought the Bosch Tassimo 4011/03 in june 2009 for 139'and brought it home with two different brands of coffee dosettes. It could not make any coffee, however many times I tried! After an hour of reading the manual and making countless attempts, I phoned Bosch. They said I had to go back to the shop and buy their special coffee dosettes, the T-disc Voluptuoso. The worthless machine manual did not even mention it was necessary to have or to insert such a Voluptuoso. They come with a 10-figure barcode the machine has to read and are unlike any other coffee dossettes, thus locking you int the system. There was no mentioning of this monopoly system on the packaging. Once you have bought the machine you are stuck.

I love my Bosch Tassimo TAS4011GB. Each disc has a barcode, read by the machine so how hot it is and the amount you get is controlled, however, you can manually add more. Some drinks like the Carte Noire dispense 220ml which is for most a good cup size. The other great things are you don't have to make the milky froth for a Cappuccino or Mochachino as they have their own t-disc and it automatically tells you when it needs descaling!

I have only had this Bosch Tassimo TAS4011GB for a short time and bought it for £48 at Argos - lots of shops are selling it cheap now and it seems much better value than when it was around £90. My only criticism is the small size drinks - if these were bigger I would have given the machine a higher mark.
