De Longhi CTM2023 Metropolis 2 slice

The only good thing about De Longhi toasters is the look of them!! They look great. Oh, and the removable crumb tray works well too. Everything else about them is useless!!

They are too shallow, so only 2/3rds of a normal sized piece of bread will be toasted.

Four times out of five, the handle will not stay down and click into position so that the toasting can begin. If it does stay down, then at least 50% of the time it will pop back up within 20 seconds!! So maybe one time in ten the blasted toaster might just do what it was meant to do!!

These toasters are all mouth and no trousers. To date, I have never written a review of anything I've bought, I'm a big boy and know it is always a case of caveat emptor, but I'm so disgusted with mine that I feel it incumbent upon me to advise anyone who reads this to stay well clear of them!!! I will NEVER buy anything made by De Longhi ever again!! (I do not work for a competing toaster manufacturer)

Disappointing! The De Longhi Metropolis Toaster never made one really good slice of toast. It only lasted 13 months.

I brought the De Longhi CTM2023 Metropolis 2 slice toaster along with the rest of the Metropolis collection. Very smart looking appliance and easy to use too.

Other than the occasional piece of bread that pops out 'un-toasted' which really is very rare, I cannot fault this toaster.

De Longhi on the other hand, I am not happy with due to their failure to help me with a problem with a different product of theirs, but that's another story.

If you like the look of this toaster, buy it. It works just fine too.
