Smeg SCA504X

In first three months of use four parts were replaced. Bakers function does not perform as Smeg advocates. It takes one hour to preheat to 200 degrees in this function and cannot maintain heat. Smeg service is now saying thats normal - one hour to preheat an oven! Unique thermoseal does not keep oven cleaner. No after sales care except if they consider a part broken and send service agent. No-one from Smeg ever responds to your correspondence on a state or national level. A Lemon...very basic oven nothing special.

When electrician installed the Smeg SCA504X oven he straight away raised concerns about the cooling fan making a loud "bus" noise. Day one cooling fan not working and oven shut down. Called service out and I might be lucky to have a brand new oven used once repaired within about a month of its commissioning. I have been cooking on a barbeque since and my children are getting accustomed to it. Who needs a new Smeg oven when you have a 10 year old barbeque.
