This Panasonic Nn-a554 Is (was) My Third Panasonic
This Panasonic NN-A554 is (was) my third Panasonic microwave. Each previous one has lasted well (10 years or so). This one is only 2 years old, the first failure was the turntable motor after only 13 months. Cost me £60 to have repaired. 6 months later the microwave has stopped working (starts then immedaitely stops and goes back to normal ready mode), altough the grill and convection still work fine. Panasonic (premium 0871) support number keep you hanging on for hours then give you a local supplier. Another minimum of £45 + parts to repair, so I have replaced it with a DeLohngi at 1/2 the price. At least if that only lasts 18 montyhs I will not have spent another £200 on a PAnasonic. Web research of the issues I have encountered show them to be fairly typical of the lastes tgeneration of Panasonic microwaves. What happened to the legendary quality and longevity. Built down to a 'have buy another one soon' price I suspect. Not recommended at all

Got The Microwave About 2 Years Ago, It Was The Be
Got the microwave about 2 years ago, it was the best microwave we have owned and use it daily, it cooks food well.
However, just after the warranty expired a crack in the door skin occured, parts are very difficult to get hold of and I thin £78 for a new door is to costly.
I was thinking of purchasing another but notice that this has happened to the previous review so I think I may buy from another company.

Superb Machine But Longevity Is A Question! First
Superb machine but longevity is a question! first one purchased only lasted 13 months having had a door skin crack and a failed circuit board, however after a catalogue of disasters firstly getting the spares to carry out the repair
then a very inefficient repair shop who couldnt even replace the faulty parts I managed to talk Panasonic into replacing the microwave
The replaced unit has now got a cracked door skin albeit after four years which in my book looks like a design fault or maybe I have just been unlucky
