Absolute Junk
Within days of buying this there were warnings as smeg customers and ex-customers came out of the woodwork. They were so right! 4 elements and 2 fans, oh and a gas control in 5 years - draw your own conclusions.

A Gleaming New Hob Has Turned Into The Bain Of My
A gleaming new hob has turned into the bain of my existence. Cannot keep it clean as after each use I must wash then use special cream, then buff it back to somewhat of a shine. Smeg replaced it, but with the same inferior trash. cannot get the 'shadows' off the steel if food drops on hob. Sick of it already, and never but never would I buy such a shoddy piece of junk.

Never Again....just Try To Get The Service Enginee
Never again....just try to get the service engineer to come and fix any problems in less than 3 weeks. 1st visit to assess the problem £75.00, 2nd visit to fix it, costing parts + 50% mark up and at least a 2 week wait for parts. You can buy your own parts for next day delivery, but Smeg customer care will give you no information on how to fit them no matter what. They insist you call one of their accredited engineers who will then hold you to ransom. I have just had this problem with the electronic timer which has blown. The new version has changed and thus is not a straight swap. 4 weeks on we are still trying to find out how to fit it and the engineer has now "gone on holiday" The oven cannot get any power without it.

A True Case Of Style Over Substance. The Writing W
A true case of style over substance. The writing was on the wall from day one when it arrived without a connecting downpipe for the gas. I thought a phone call to SMEG customer services would soon sort it. No, the person I spoke to wouldn't believe me that they had sent out a faulty item, three calls and an e-mailed photograph of the back of the cooker and I was eventually believed.
the second cooker was fine until about 17 months in when the grill element went, a call to customer services and I was told that it was usual for the element to go at that age and unfortunately it wasn't covered. I've now had to buy three elements.
All in all I will never buy another SMEG item again, they look amazing but if you actually want something that is functional, don't buy SMEG.

We Inherited This Smeg Suk 91mfx With The Purchase
We inherited this Smeg SUK 91MFX with the purchase of a new house. I followed the other review here and have just replaced a broken element myself. This cost only £25 for the replacement part from Smeg-Services. The oven now works perfectly and it was a 5 minute job to replace.
Don't bring in a professional, you can do it yourself!
The only issue I had is that the new part didn't have an earth connection (green/yellow) but the advice of a friend was it isn't really necessary as the whole oven is earthed anyway.
Very please to have fixed problem for £25 and oven is fully operational again.

The Smeg Suk 91mfx Is A Truly Horrible Cooker That
The Smeg SUK 91MFX is a truly horrible cooker that I regret buying. The oven now gets to a certain temperature then turns itself off for 5 minutes then on for 5 minutes right the way through until I finally turn it off. An engineer has been out 3 times and has not managed to fix it. The list of faults in the years that I have had this seem endless. Friends have had no better experience. It's a classic case of form over funtion. I actively discourage anybody from buying a Smeg.

This Smeg Has Been The Most Over Priced "so Called
This Smeg has been the most over priced "so called" high quality product I have ever purchased in any area of my life. From the moment two weeks after I bought it when one of the gas ignition circuits failed, through the drawer front falling off, the oven rack clips snapping (so that the shelves routinely collapse and fall out) the grill temperature control snapping, the knob markings wearing off within months as if they'd been painted on with water colours, the fan blowing up, I could go on... it has been one giant regretted purchase. The manual was so complicated even the official service engineer told me not to bother trying to understand it. And any oven that requires three separate switches to be turned just to operate the grill has got to be suffering from a bad case of over design. And to think these things are sold on quality as a means of justifying their hugely inflated price compared to just about every other comparable product on the market. I will never buy a Smeg cooker or a Smeg anything ever again.

When We Bought This Cooker, We Genuinely Believed
When we bought this cooker, we genuinely believed that we were making a wise decision by paying a bit more for a "good" brand. It has been a complete disappointment, and I would certainly never buy another Smeg appliance after this experience. The fan element giving out AGAIN on Xmas eve was the final straw, and we are cutting our losses, taking it to the dump & replacing it with a cheap gas cooker.

I Would Not Buy Another Smeg Product After Having
I would not buy another SMEG product after having the SMEG SUK 91MFX 90cm Range Cooker. I believe I paid for the name, and not the quality of the product!

The Smeg Suk Ovens Look Like Good Value For Money
The SMEG SUK ovens look like good value for money and a stylish addition to your kitchen, but don't be fooled!
Ours is now about 4 years old and although the stainless exterior is wearing well the durability of the elements in the oven is lacking ( I would say design fault or seriously cheaply made). Our oven fan elements both failed at about 1.3 years. The cost of callout and fitting was £180 ! I watched repair man spend 5 minutes changing the elements! The cost of new elemets is actually £33 each (interspares.co.uk). I now replace mine myself. Unplug mains-Open oven- remove trays-remove 4 nuts to fan shroud (at back of oven)-remove elements (3 Phillips screws)-don't let cables drop inside case-fit new element- replace shroud, very easy 5 minutes. Ours seem to last about a year each.
The grill element is now hanging down in the middle and hinges on the door can no longer hold it in the 'grill' postion. Shame that these problems spoil an otherwise good cooker
