After Using The 48271 For Only One Month, The Insi
After using the 48271 for only one month, the inside light failed. On ringing the Helpline, I was told that since I had purchased it from an Ebay seller, the guarantee was not valid although I was given all the relevant paperwork and the breadmaker arrived in the correct packaging.
So far I have not been able to find out how to change the bulb and since this was one of the reasons I chose this model, I am not impressed.

The Morphy Richards Accents 48271 Has Good Looking
The Morphy Richards Accents 48271 has good looking stainless steel but shows up fingerprints , before first use need to oil pan and put on bake for 10 minutes, mine made a lot of smoke coming from the heating element, so i gave it another 10 mins and it cleared and is fine since. need to lightly oil pan before each use also. have tried to stick with cheaper ingredients to keep cost down eg tesco skimmed milk etc and using allinson 3kg bags of strong flour, but so far results have been better than i achieved by hand and consistent. I was spending about £110 a year on shop bought bread so its going to take over a year to pay for itself, 58.70 for breadmaker on Amazon on offer + ingredients, but its more satisfying eating bread you baked yourself.

I Got A Morphy Richards Accents 48271 From My Husb
I got a Morphy Richards Accents 48271 from my husband for Xmas. It smelled really funny. I think it was so new that i should be manufacture smell. But smell is less after 5,6 times. I am loving the design. I don't like the bread from the recipe that came with the machine, so I use my bread book recipe. I used rye flour and nuts. It's still fine. I enjoy using this.

I Won My Morphy Richards Accents 48271 And I Have
I won my Morphy Richards Accents 48271 and I have been so pleased with it ever since. Thought it would be a nine day wonder and this actually put me off purchasing one. My young boys actually love the bread that it produces, although I haven't been that adventurous and tried many of the programmes yet. It says it can make jam.
I was initially worried at how much electric it uses but put it on a metre and it was relatively low (it only draws on the electric when needed - not the full 3 hours of a bread programme), so bread much cheaper than shop bought - plus you have the bonus of knowing what is in it.
I have been extremely happy with my win.

I Bought A Morphy Richards Accents 48271 After I H
I bought a Morphy Richards Accents 48271 after I had borrowed a friends Panasonic for a couple of weeks.
Had it for about 3 months now.
I wanted a machine which would let me customize the settings which this one does.
I also found the most annoying thing about the panasonic was the fact that it insisted on letting ingrediants sit for an hour or so before kneading started. When I just want to make a dough for naan bread I want it to start straight away. This machine does.
Seems well built. doesn't move on the counter when kneading. The lid can be lifted without stopping the program and the light does allow view of the dough at times but at others the window is too steamed up to see much.
I would say 95% of the loaves I've made have been great with the remainder OK (probably my bad measurements)
Kneading paddle stays in bread more often than not but once you get the knack of retrieving it (I use a wooden chopstick) its no issue.
Pan doesn't seem as sturdy as the Panasonic had but I've had no problems.
It was a choice for me between the Panasonic and this machine, and so far I think I made the right choice.
