Vax VZL6015 Mach 5

This is a great little hoover on par with my dyson great for cat hairs as i have 2 cats my one and only promblem i have with it its a lot of messing about to get the dust collector back on when emptyed it 10mins it takes me my daughter has same hoover and same problem as me even the next door lady tried to get it back so not just me with this problem

i had my vax mach 5 given to me buy a frind but it is so good for my house other hovers did nto work on the thick carpets so after the vax mach 5 it was so cleaner and i have no proplem with it.

I have never written a review on anything like this before but felt compelled to due to the experience I have had with it. This machine is absolutely appaling. I could live with the fact that it topples over whenever you use the attachments and smashes you on the back of the head. I could even live with the fiddly mechanism to empty it. I could live with the fact that when using it on the stairs you need to be a contortionost to avoid it toppling down the stairs.

What enfuriates me is that the brush bar has failed 3 times within 10 months. This means the thing won't even pick up a bit of fluff, let alone all the other things it promises. The first time VAX claimed it was normal wear and tear so we bought new belts. The second time was within a few weeks of the new belts being fixed so VAX agreed to take it back as there may have been a fault. They took it back, "repaired" it and returned it (so without a cleaner for 7 days) 8 weeks later exactly the same thing happened. Brush bar won't work, won't pick up. Enfuriating. This is in normal domestic use. We have 2 dogs - the very reason we bought this in the first place. Useless. Don't waste your money. I am demanding my money back as it is not fit for purpose and will be buying a dyson!

I have a Hoover Mach 5 vacuum cleaner. it is garbage. It is noisy, heavy, and does not have much suction.

i bought one of these when our dyson packed up and saw one of these at nearly half the price of dyson, it comes with a 6 year warranty as does the dyson and it covers the same points as dyson. the turbo tool atatchment is brilliant for stairs and upholstory.

we borrowed a freinds dyson after ours broke and hoovered before using the new one and was amazed at how much more it picked up

Best ever Vax in my opinion, i have had Vax vacuums before, all have been good but this is excellent, i could not believe the amount of dust/fluff & hair this vacuum picked up, i thought my house was clean until i tried this Mach 5. It is a little bit heavier then some vacuums but that is not a problem, it is of very sturdy construction and the attachments are easy to connect and use, it easy to empty, no bags so no problem of finding replacements. It goes from carpet to hard floor and back picking up all debris found on indoor floors.I love this vacuum and do not know what i would do without it.

i thought id leave a review as most ive read have been negative. the only time my mach 5 has ever fallen over is when im doing the stairs and the pipe is stretched to it longest lenght and you pull it over. for me that was the only fault but i still managed to clean the top step. its not heavey at all. its heavey if youve only had a cheap hoover in the past. the tools with it work really well. just have a gander at the instructions for a minute and its simple. there was no assembly required just push the adjustable handle into place which clips straight in. i paid £51.90 plus £8.99 on the 30.12.09 for mine off ebay brand new. its brilliant for that price. picks up all the other bits my oldish bosch never did. it will pull up lino or carpet which isnt fitted correctly & its only ever heavey to operate if you have the brush setting at its lowest so that its digging into the carpet. ill give it a 9 out of 10, it would be a 10 if there was an extra 6inch on the hose.

i thought i would write this review as although i really do think the Vax VZL6015 Mach 5 is one of the best hoovers i have ever bought especially with 3 dogs and one being a border collie with a long coat there a few things that the description does not mention. 1: when delivered it is delivered in bits for you to build which was a bit of shock 2: im sure the description didnt mention that the handle slides back into the handle as part of the features which leaves it feeling a little unsteady at times and with my husband he ends up pushing it in. apart from that its a great hoover i got it for a great price through VAX after lots of research of the different brands of VAX which was a little confusing. the tools are excellent and the rotating brush is excellent for collecting dog hair. This hoover has never fallen over on us as it is a little heavy. I had a dyson previously which only lasted 5 years even after getting it service and with the extra warranty thought this was a great buy

Love the Vax VZL6015 Mach 5 hoover it sucks so much dirt and dust out of carpets. The handy adjustable height handle is great when in use and makes easier to store. My only gripe is that it is bit on the heavy side.

Worst cleaner I have owned in 40 years. Falls over suddenly & heavily. Has smashed items, chipped wooden floor & injured myself & pets, glad I have no small children.

Vax helpline suggests that 2 people should opreate it, yes, really!
