Vax Mach 4

This is by far the worst vacuum i have ever owned - it blows everything around wooden floors instead of sucking up, and for the millionth time i have just been cracked over the head with it falling over on me whilst using the hose, i have an egg as big as a golf ball on my head now and feel like chucking it out for the dustbin men, the only reason i am sitting here now writing this review is because i am still concussed from the bloody thing ( excuse my language)and i wouldn't want anyone else to waste their money.

the worst hoover i ever owned, the pipe could do with another extension piece as u have to bend right over, falls over when using extension, doesnt pick up the pet hairs as stated and when using on carpet i have to push with two hands making really hard work!!!!!!

I have a Vax Mach 4. This is the worst hoover I have ever owned. I have wooden floors as well as carpets. When trying to hoover the floor the machine blows dirt all over the place, it is easier to sweep and suck up the dirt at the end. When using the suck pipe the machine falls over so you have to keep one hand on the machine and hold the pipe with the other. When trying to empty the dirt, the bottom half of the container unhooks but most of the dirt is in the top half of the container (as I have had to use the pipe) and to empty this you have to pull the filter out of the container and empty it that way, thus getting the dust that has been sucked up, around and in the bin. It obviously is no good if you have pets but seems to be fine on carpets without pet hairs.

Worst vacum that we have ever bought.Very weak pick-up and the hose is as good as useless.

PROS: We have owned the Vax Mach 4 for about a year now and we are still very happy with it.We have had other bagless vacuums including Dyson's and this is on par if not better than more expensive hoovers! We have had to replace the belt recently but this was due to a rogue sock being sucked up and jamming the brush wheel, At the time it was being used by the mother in-law who was clearly unaware of the power this thing has....so use with caution around small children and pets! Anyway overall a very good and easy vacuum to use without the Dyson price tags.

CONS:Slightly top heavy and can tip over if not positioned right. Emptying the vacuum can be tricky until you get the hang of it.

ive had the mach four for just over a year, its ok, but not excellant, i like the name vax, my mum had an old vax for years, it was fantastic, so i thought id go for the same, but on purchasing it, it looked new and exciting but using it, its heavy, very top heavy, and has often fallen over, especially when using the hose, and attachments, or going up the stairs, and even though it has a laminate feature for low carpets and flooring, it blows debris under the furniture instead of sucking it up, and it dont leave my carpets in the bedrooms all that clean , i still have to go round with the attachments on my hands n knees, too much hard work, might go for a different vax next time.
