Faulty Cable

We have the Sebo Felix upright - purchased under one year - the cable from the top of handle is faulty - we have had to wrap duct tape around the cable for the hoover to work. My Son has the same problem - Sebo is not interested - said it was my fault for wrapping up too tightly. Can send back for repair if I pay for the expense - warranty does not cover faulty wiring, even though this is a design fault. Customer service very poor. This hoover is also a risk of falling over easily unless you make sure locked into position. Cannot believe that this is my fault - have had many many hoovers over the years without this problem.

Very Heavy And Very Awkward

Very heavy and awkward to use. You must always have 2 hands available to vacuum due to bending down to adjust the height while the other holds the machine. No more vacuuming and dusting at the same time. I have all hard surface floors and a varity of area rugs. I have to lift this heavy machine up each time to the area rugs and re-adjust the height continually. The machine is too big to go under the toekicks in my kitchen or under the bed or sofa. I must have a left handed one because the helper handle is on the right side and I vacuum with my right hand. Must switch hands to reach the helper handle. What a nuisense. Very prone to falling over easily and denting my hardwood floors. Frequent changes required in the height adhustment. At this cost you would think it would be automatic.Mine is the Felix in the Onyx, looks very cool. The suction is VERY powerful but not very maneuverable. The heaviest vacuum I have ever owned.

Went Shopping For A Pet Dyson But Bought A Sebo Felix Premium 1, And Never Looked Back...

Went shopping for a pet Dyson but bought a Sebo Felix Premium, and never looked back..."

We went shopping to replace our late 1990's vintange Hoover upright.

Based on distribution of reviews we were set to buy Dyson pet vacuum.

(The LG vacuums were considered until we saw the monster size/wieght)

The first good impression of the sebo was its compact size and a power head that is as equally maneuverable as the dyson ball.

Suction was actually better then the above competitor. (Especially with only 1" in the dust bin!!!)

Size/Wieght on stairs the Sebo wins hands down due to being able to detach the power head and use the light wieght turbo brush (option extra).

[Turbo brush works well so far, but you do have to be deligent keeping the hairs removed from the rollers/turbine. This is easily done.]

It is only 10 pounds on stairs without the approx 5 pound power head. This compares with 16# for Dyson ball, or 22# for most other uprights.

Neigher Dyson or Sebo power head will allow vacuum under our beds. But the Sebo does reach further (about 10") and would allow full reach if you have about 6" clearance. This design does extend completely flat but not low enought for us :-(.

Sebo comes with a very good hardwood floor brush that is interchangable with the power head. Have only used a few times as generally sweep the hardwood floors and keep power head attached. Powerhead beater bar can be disabled to allow cleanup of hard floors such as our front entrance ways etc without having to change power heads.

This is a bag machine, but bags are fairly inexpensive and available on ebay.

We have not had to replace the exhaust filter yet(about $30). Manual suggests replacement after 10-20 bags. The exhaust filter is the main coloured body portion on the Sebo Felix.

Our local vacuum shop repairs & services the Sebo during & after warranty period. Warranty period of 5yrs is actually staged with 5yrs for motor, and less for other portions of the vacuum.

Post purchase research suggests that this vacuum is parts interchangable with the Windor Access as they both built by same parent company [Stien].

We bought the "Felix Premium 1" which has 12" beater bar. They offer a "Felix Premium 2" which has a 15" beater bar that compares with our former Hoover width.

I Love The Sebo Felix But I Have Had A Couple Of P

I love the sebo felix but I have had a couple of problems with it!

Shortly after purchase, the button on the roller head would not stay down. It was totally jammed. I rang sebo and they had someone pick it up (you have to package it securely and box it). It was promptly returned.

The same problem has just occurred and now they are trying to make me pay £55 as they claim it was fine when they received it! I went through all the checks on the phone, with the advisor from sebo and 3 adults at home tried it before sending. Customer service is not good at all and for this reason only, I probably wouldn't buy one again!

Looks like it is problem with the switch not working correct on this model , i have the felix model with power head and it is just 13 months old , the head has stopped working , I have tested for power down the main vac to the head conection and all is ok we have a live wire to the conection of the head , so the fault is within the head or switch , it is intermittent , sometimes it works sometimes not , they want £55 from me to send back but I will look under Goods not fit for purpose act under consumer law , the 5 year warrenty is not required every item is covered under consumer law for 6 years.

Did you know by law that youre grievence is with the supplier and not the manufacturer ?

John Lewis in my case and I payed by Credit card so I am double protected , so theres a tip always pay by Credit card

Exactly the same happened to me! I've just sent my 4 month old hoover back for them to look at under the 5 yr warranty - however they are saying the motor os water damaged and they don't cover that; I have carpets everywhere so god knows how I've managed to get so much water up there that it's made it short out and die! - So now they have my Vacuum and are "trying" to charge me £55 for them looking at it - I am actually fuming! And although the cleaner is very good I also will never buy a sebo again just because of this!

Beware! There Is An Issue With This Product - Ther

BEWARE! There is an issue with this product - there is a design fault with the cable. Where it enters the handle it is forced to bend at almost 90' after time it wears through and the appliance stops working. SEBO UK will fix this - for a charge - having denied it is an issue and excluding it from the guarantee.

Other than that the machine works as well as it should in this price range. It is more style over substance than anything. The hose is very short and it has a tendency to topple when left standing - the price to be paid for the retro design I guess. The turbo head only works effectively when the bag is less than half full and the machine is giving near full suction (yes it does lose suction as the bag fills no matter what information you get to the contrary.)

The main problem is the appalling service from SEBO. I have had two faults in two years and on both occasions I have been offered limited or no help. All in all I would rather have a Miele and would return the SEBO in a heartbeat if I could. ONLY BUY ONE IF AESTHETICS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN SERVICE.

I have had exactly the same problem with the cable and handle. It is actually dangerous, with the cable in the handle sparking and short-circuiting. This has now happened twice on our machine. As with your experience, Sebo deny all responsibility and charge to repair the handle.

Great Vacuum Cleaner , Makes Other Machines Seem C

great vacuum cleaner , makes other machines seem cumbersome to use, well screwed together, gives a serious clean and is quiet, i like the fact it has a bag, you can cap it and put it in the kitchen bin rather than running out in the rain to the outdoor bin as you do with usual bag or bagless vacuums.

This Cleaner Is Very Heavy And Awkward To Clean St

This cleaner is very heavy and awkward to clean stairs. because of its large bulk it is unsteady and it has actually toppled down my stairs on its own accord when left on the top step damaging my paintwork and actually falling on me on more than one occasion.

good suction, looks nice, goes under alot of low furniture but you need to be strong to carry it.

I Bought A Sebo Felix All Floors Which Was Recomme

I bought a Sebo Felix all floors which was recommended by Good Housekeeping but am very disappointed with it. It's very heavy to push around, won't pick up cotton or fluff on a rug or carpet and doesn't have great suction when on the highest setting. The parquet foot which is a brush is much smaller and quite good on hard floors but although lighter than the carpet foot is still heavy and awkward to manoeuvre especially over door threshholds. There is no handle to lift the cleaner with which makes lifting it over a threshhold or carpet edge very awkward. Before I purchased it I would have liked to have tried it out at home or in the shop. It came with good recommendations but does not meet my needs and therefore was a waste of £260.

The Sebo Felix 1 Premiums Is A Superb Vacuum Clean

The Sebo Felix 1 Premiums is a superb vacuum cleaner, really manoeuvrable, the cleaning head is able to go under radiators, sofas, low tables, etc. without any bother. Picks up well. Makes cleaning much quicker.
