Load Of Sh***e
Let me start with the only 2 good points
1. It has a great cord rewind function
2. You could take it outside and it would have no trouble vacuuming rubble off your driveway
Now for the bad points:
Where do I start. I had read quite a few good reviews about this product and had a few recommendations from friends as to how good it was. I had never had a cylinder cleaner before but refused to pay ridiculous amounts of money for a Dyson. However I now wished I had.
This cleaner does not pick up fluff from a carpet, even on mega suck power option! It would almost lift the carpet off the floor but not pick up anything off the carpet itself. I felt like I had had a work out when I had spent around an hour trying to pull the thing round the downstairs area of my house (and I don't have a big house!) He got stuck behind every obstacle possible, got tangled in his own wire and I need arms like Arnold Schwarz****er just to pull him.
The tools just came loose in the box and every time you want them you have to go and fetch them from the cupboard - and try to undo the many hoses and pipes to fit them on - another set of muscles required!!
The hose does not reach all the way up a standard stairway so I ended up trying to haul Henry up the stairs on his back, just to complete the job.
My partner used him when I first had him and he quite likes vacuuming believe it or not - not anymore! He dragged him round the living room, knocked a cup of tea of the table with the wire and to be honest I dont think I could repeat his comments on this site. Needless to say he just complains and says 'now can we get a Dyson!'
Well let me tell you, I have had Henry for 6 months and could quite easily venture into the garage, pick up the nearest hammer and completely smash the little sh** to bits.
Do not buy this product unless you are a builder or a plasterer wanting to vacuum up rubble!
Jacqswodke.........sounds like you'd benefit from a Charles Atlas course!
Do complete one and then you can enjoy the BEST vacuum cleaner on the market :-)).

I Think This Is The Most Sturdy And Reliable Vacuu
I think this is the most sturdy and reliable vacuum cleaner you can buy. We have cleaned up after house renovations, thinking we would need a replacement but it has continued to work efficiently. It has a super long flex so you don,t need to plug in at each room. Shame it doesn't balance on stairs and is a bit big. Brilliant value for money. Recommend them for office etc cleaning as they are so durable and reliable. Size let's it down for storage in a domestic house.

You'll Never Buy Another Vac Well, What Can
YOU'LL NEVER BUY ANOTHER VAC
Well, what can I say? This is my forth vac in the last 6 years, my latest being a Dyson upright (over twice the price of this), which was too heavy and tended to chew up my carpet. Don't fall for Dyson, that's all I'm going to say.
As for this little corker, where do I start? I'd known about Henry before as he's appeared in most offices I've worked in and shops I've shopped in. Surely that meant something I thought? Absolutely right.
Don't be fooled by his size, colour and kid like grin - Henry means business! Believe everything you read about him.
After much deliberation over which type to get (having 2 very hairy cats) I opted for the regular HVR200-22. The '22′ is important as this is the latest 1200w version with Hi/Lo switch Look for it in 'product details'. And I've just tried it out.
First, my solid wood floors, it worked effortlessly, taking up everything. The great thing is that the main floor tool/brush sucks from every side so room corners are handled quickly.
Next, the stairs and carpets. OK, a little more hard work now but this is because a have quite a deep pile. Still, I thought this might be an issue and I did consider both the HenryXtra (with the air driven 'Airo' brush) and the Henry Hound (with the electic Turbo brush), but I prefered to stick with the basic model (I wanted it Red with nothing more than the word 'Henry' on it, my god, I've been more particular about this than the last car I bought!) however I have ordered seperately an 'Airo' brush (also in red with a cute smile) which apparently is suitable for most Henry types, so remember you can always add an extra at a later date if you find you need to.
Cat hair - no problem, went over it once, not a trace left!
And finally, I tried it quickly on the lino in my bathroom, and just as with the wood floors, no problem!
As for noise levels, I'm amazed. It's so quiet (even more so on the 70% 'Lo' setting) - the cats don't run away. In fact, at one point I thought it'd lost it's suction because there wasn't much noise coming from the end of the hose.
I haven't tried all the tools, but I quickly tried the crevice tool for clearing up some cat litter. Once you've taken the main hose off, blimey, then you feel it's power! (I wouldn't put it anywhere near your face though!)
This is a superb all rounder and I think he's gonna be with me for a long long time. He is British made. All parts of him feel sturdy, somewhat heavy duty (although he's not heavy) and are of quality. When you take him out of his box, he's all set to go. Fantastic!
So go for it, you definitely won't regret it. And remember to get the latest 200-22 version with the green Hi/Lo switch because some high street retailers don't mention this in their product details and you may end up one with an earlier/lower wattage. Great!

I Had Blown Up Several Vacuum Cleaners And Was Adv
I had blown up several vacuum cleaners and was advised by my brother to get a 'Henry' as they were 'indestructible'. I'm glad I took his advice because I had a Henry for 7 years, and it didn't break down once. The suction power is impressive and I think its a great little machine.
Then I got a dog who moulted and Henry couldn't cope with all his hair on the carpets, but Henry did a sterling job in every other way.
I gave it to my daughter when she got married, and that was 4yrs ago, and Henry is still going strong.

I Don't Actually Own This Vacuum Cleaner But I Bor
I don't actually own this vacuum cleaner but I borrowed one from a friend recently when my own vc broke down. I always thought these vacuum cleaners were a bit of a gimmick to be honest with the inane smiley faces and primary colouring but have used one for a couple of weeks now I have been really impressed with the quality of this cleaner.
I have a Dyson and have been programmed to think they are the best at suction but actually I was really impressed with the Henry. It's only my own personal opinion but it did appear to get much more dirt out - especially on rugs. It also seemed quieter but it I don't like the design at all which I know is a stupid reason for not liking something but looks are important!

Owning A Cleaning Business In Whistler B.c Canada,
Owning a cleaning business in Whistler B.C Canada, I had to rely on an efficent vacuum. This numatic "henry" canister met all my expetations and more. The suction, easily maneurving allowing cleaning of corners, stairs and base boards effortless and quick. The long hose enable vacuuming beams and higher areas. Due to the suction power I felt there was no need to purchase any carpet attachments. I have recommend this product to numerous people, The owners of a home I cared for bought this product and are also very pleased. At this time I am looking to purchase a new Numatic "Henry or Hetty" It appears that it might be a challenge due to product not readily available in Canada.
Thank you!

Small, Lightweight, Robust And Very Long Cable Whi
Small, lightweight, robust and very long cable which saves you keep changing power point. good sturdy accessories, works great with either bag in or with none. Easy to clean and empty. When in bagless mode its great for sucking up anything, even after builders have been in and there's nails, glass, plaster etc everywhere. great edge to edge cleaning.
Numatic "Henry" is fun looking, a hard working little unit that does well in a busy household with pets and all. Great for cars too. doesnt clog up easily, will take almost anything up and deal with it.

The Only Way To Clean A Carpet Is With A Mains Pow
The only way to clean a carpet is with a mains powered motorised beater to loosen the dirt before suction takes it away. Therefore like all cannister vacuums the Numatic "Henry" Canister in my opinion is compromised for carpets.
I found this review not helpful because...for a start Henry has sealed suction and suction through the floor head is substantially stronger than most on the market. I've got a Henry and find it picks up extremely well. With a main turbo brush bought from EBay that cost me £15, air driven from the suction motor the additional floor head is superb for stronger dirt pickup such as hair and threads. A bit more info from this member's actual experience would be good here rather than a natural assumption. Clearly they're not aware of what Henry is actually like or the options available. Most upright vacs on the market have a drive belt to be replaced when it eventually stretches out or snaps. With a cylinder pull along Henry you get options such as lifetime belt fitted turbo brushes.
I found this review not helpful because...
It has no factual basis to substantiate it and is therefore just a statement of a personal opinion. It does not provide any evidence, much less experience, on which to make a purchasing decision. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to find it had been left by Mr Dyson - after all, these little Henry cleaners make a complete mockery of all the hyperbole around the Dyson cleaner (and all the other bagless wonders that that invention has spawned!)
