It Is Well Made, And They Provide A Thoughtful Ran

It is well made, and they provide a thoughtful range of accessories to cover all surfaces and circumstances. It is also robust and extremely effective. I have had many vacuum cleaners over the years, and this is the best by a country mile.

If and when my Miele Xtra Power 2300 vacuum cleaner wears out, I would not hesitate to get another Miele.

I Too Had A Dyson But Found It Very Heavy And Did

I too had a Dyson but found it very heavy and did not like the cleaning ie dismantling the underside (3 screws) to get at the fluff buildup so I bought a Miele Xtra power 2300.

I wish that Meile would contact me about my post on this site re their dishwasher!

I Have Just Got This Miele Xtra Power 2300 Vacuum

I have just got this Miele Xtra power 2300 vacuum to replace my Dyson which I have to say is the most over rated vacuum ,cheap plastic trash. This is the first cylinder vacuum I have had and felt a bit nervous going for a cylinder vacuum but all was OK, the suction on this vacuum is variable from 300 watts right up to the maximum 2300 watts. This vacuum also comes with standard floorhead which is suitable for the vast majority of floor surfaces and turbo brush which is driven by the suction of air and this is suitable for most floor surfaces, you just have to try each to find which works best for you, but rest assured you will have never had a cleaner carpet as the suction and the way this vacuum picks up is awesome.

There is a guide to what power you should have the vacuum on for different tasks eg, upholstery tool, turbo brush, there is a tool compartment on the vacuum where the crevice tool, upholstery tool and the dusting brush are kept, there is a bag full indicator and a safety cut out in case the vacuum overheats. The pipe on this is triscopic (3 sections) which can be extended or retracted which is very handy as I am 6ft 1 and I can use the pipe without having to bend over and get back ache, this vacuum takes bags but these are very well made, they are not the usual paper or card bags rubbish which tear when you try to take them out. I paided £6.99 for a box of five and these also include a motor compartment filter and an air filter and this was high street prices this is an excellent vacuum it says on the Miele website that these are tested for 20 years use, I would like to see a Dyson still working in 20 years time. The suction is the best I have seen on any vacuum, there is also a notch in the front of the vacuum where if you need to answer the phone or something similar you push the end of the pipe into this notch and it switches the vacuum off then pull it out and it switches it back on, the impression I got was that these vacuums have a well thought out design, solid build and are meant to last - a familiar trademark of German products. It might be an expensive vacuum but it will give you years and years of use and will get your carpet cleaner than you thought possible.

I agree the Dyson is over rated - it has suction but does not get the job done! It may never lose its suction but it does not lift stuff fromthe floor either!! I am now looking to buy a Meile which has suction and actually lifts the dirt from the floor. Thanx for your comments I thought I was the only unsatisfied dyson customer.
