Do Not Waste Your Money, Since Purchasing This 15
Do not waste your money, since purchasing this 15 months ago I have had 6 things going wrong with it all to do with the parts and also overheating in the summer!, Customer Services are good if its within the guarantee but 3 months out of it they don't want to know, it is not fit for the purpose it is designed for and I am writing a letter of complaint!
We have bought cheaper hoovers and they have lasted longer (4 years or so), would of been nice to of known that this was not going to last that long then we would not of wasted £149.99!

What A Complete Waste Of Money Has This Hoover - T
What a complete waste of money has this Hoover - The One Pet been. I bought this with high expectations as Hoover have been around for a long time and we have dogs, carpets and wood floors so was expecting the One Pet to work well. In did the job okay for the first few weeks then the problems started.
Motorised brushbar doesn't have anti-jamming feature which means the toothed drivebelt strips its teeth.
Turbine hair brushbar accessory only works if main filters are clean otherwise the brushbar keeps stalling!
It kept overheating and shutting down even with half empty collection cyclinder. The filters had to be washed before each use and then allowed to dry just to be in with a chance of maximum dust and hair pick-up.
The main body moulding cracked just behind the dust storage cylinder because of stress loads concentrated on the thin plastic.
The last resort was final overheating and strong smell of smoke!! As a car engineer I know my way around machines so I decided to carry out a mechanical 'autopsy' on the vacuum. The motor casing was dust and hair contaminated and there were signs that the thin rubber dust seals and gaskets which are supposed to keep dust out of the guts of the machine were not sealing due to not being tough enough for the job.
Hoovers claim of 'Cyclonic filtration' for the Pet One is laughable and actually false as when observing dust and hair collection (when it worked!) within the clear dust collector, you could see the dust and debris simply plopping down but there was no spinning of air at all. If Hoover want to see what cyclonic collection looks like they should study a Dyson - whoops they already did but Dyson patented it first...

Motor On Hoover - The One Pet Went After A Few Mon
motor on Hoover - The One Pet went after a few months hoover came out and replaced it and yet again it went but this time it was out of warranty, i took it to my local hoover repair center who told me to get another hoover as i would always have the same problem, so i ended up taking it to another shop this time i was told the same but the man had found that a motor from a panasonic cleaner fitted at that he had put the same one in quite a few hoover one touch cleaner with great sucess, it is not 7 months since i had the new motor put in and it's great alot quieter and better suction but no thanks to the hoover company all credit should goto panasonic for making a great motor

This Could Have Been A Winner For Hoover After The
This could have been a winner for Hoover after the disastrous Dust Manager range, but unfortunately the One range isn't much better. I think it's all down to the shoddy build quality and awful filtration which really isn't cut out for a vacuum of this size which is designed to cope with pet hair and will probably be used in larger homes.
Its a shame because when its working properly it's a great vacuum with some really cool features. The tools are great especially the mini turbo brush which is amazing on stairs and the ultra long hose. I like the fact that it doesn't fall over when you use the hose unlike the Dyson's I've had. The one touch hard floor cleaning bar is a nice feature and its one of the few uprights that does a good job on hard floors.
In use it isn't overly noisy and it grooms the carpets nicely leaving those 'just vacuumed' lines in your carpet, this is down to the brushroll which is driven by its own seperate motor.
Overall, this is a great vacuum let down by its rubbish filter system. Its a shame! Stick to bagged cleaners Hoover because your bagless ones just aren't cutting it.

I Feel The Purchase Of The Hoover - The One Pet Cl
I feel the purchase of the Hoover - The One Pet cleaner has been a waste of money, the only good thing was the engineer on his first visit ordered me replacement parts for no charge. from the day this vacuum was purchased I have had so many problems. Considering it is for "Pets" it does not cope very well, mine is constantly getting blocked even though I empty it continually. Within the first 6/8 months I called the engineers to it 2 times. I complained about its maneuverability and was told by the engineer it was my carpets!
