Dust Manager Dml 5224
Picked up OK but after a few gos failed to pick up, weird noise and smell of burning. Provided replacement, this also conked out after a couple of sessions. Belt broken, little slider fell off. Shoddy machine, enginer said belt incorrectly fitted and too much grease used in facory. He recommended buying a Miele.
In addition customer "service" surly
A sad experience of the product and the organization

Poorly Designed Product That Will Not Last Long.
I purchased a more expensive model because I thought it would be worth it. It was not! The machine picks up really well, although not to the edges as it claims. However it requires emptying two or three times when cleaning our small house. We are not particularly messy and we have no pets. The tools are very fragile and break easily especially if you try to use them! The machine is very unstable and will tip over damaging itself of furniture really easily. However we had learned to live with these problems and overcome them...the killer was that the drive belt falls off really easily. It is £70.00 to get an engineer out to put it back on and it falls off again within minutes. This is clearly a design fault and although the machine is still picking up with the drive belt connected that fact that is is falling off every two minutes makes it very difficult to use. We are throwing it out at the weekend and buying something else...certainly NOT a hoover.

Dust Manager Model Number Dm4494
Initially I was happy with this cleaner. Got it for a good price from Debenhams and it has performed OK. Have to agree with other comments, does fall over easily as it is top heavy and does need constant emptying but picks up OK. Problem I have it that it has just literally broke in half. The bearing arrangement between the upright and base has collapsed, the belt won't stay on and the handle is completely loose in the base. Tried to repair but too far gone. Looks like basic deign fault to me. Can't get response from Hoover.

Doesn't Stay Upright.
I find it picks up quite well but, needs emptying too often. Down side is the slightest pull and it topples over. The stair bar doesn't work and is a nightmare for doing the stairs. Also it's very heavy.

I Bought This Hoover Td4225 Model Because I Have
I bought this hoover TD4225 model because I have hairy dog. Found the Dyson worse than useless after a time. This one is light but so much so that it constantly falls over, the pet hairs collect around the cyclonic filter and block it so that the machine overheats and cuts out. If you remove the red cyclonic filter, the next filter blocks. It stopped working because the drive belt had come off its wheel as there is nothing to stop it sliding off the end. It has a very small capacity and the filters are more trouble and just as expensive as buying bags. I'm going to get rid of it and buy a Henry!!

Hoovers Upright Bagless Cleaners Are The Worst I H
Hoovers upright bagless cleaners are the WORST I have come across. Lets start with what it is built for, sucking up dust & dirt. Upright it does this VERY badly & reluctantly on all surfaces, carpet & bare flooring. It doesn't do the edges. It has an extendable leg at the back that flaps about & has gouged my lino & also causes it to pole vault. 2 out of 10.Using the hose & attachments; When you do this the machine is dragged backwards & constantly falls over. It also means that you run over the cable. This can cause the brushes (which keep spinning) to wear the cable away! The tools are badly designed & actually useless. The fast spinning pet hair remover is driven by a little plastic belt. If you are lucky this may last longer than one use. but I doubt if any has lasted in to double figures. On the stairs the extendable leg that is supposed to stablise the cleaner doesn't work. the slightest pull on the hose causes it to twist & you have to keep hold of the handle to stop it falling. These are truly AWFUL machines!!!DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON AN UPRIGHT HOOVER!!!

This Hoover Td4225 Has Been A Waste Of Money. Only
This Hoover TD4225 has been a waste of money. Only bought it 2 months ago. Doesn't suck up anything. I am now using a dustpan and brush because it works better.

I Had The Engineer Out Twice As The Motor Kept Goi
I had the engineer out twice as the motor kept going on our Hoover TD4225. The first engineer took over a week to arrive and when he did he didn't have the correct parts - this meant I had to wait another week for Hoover to send another engineer with the part.
Hoover has poor suction and they're also difficult to clean fully.
