I Brought The Tc5238 Model From Tesco, It Was On S

I brought the TC5238 model from Tesco, it was on sale. I liked the hover at first but it does breaks easy, the handle cracked then broke. Constantly needs emptying butthe red light is on saying it is full even when it has just been emptied.

Considered changing the hose, it may be clogged? But what a shocker!!! The zoom tube hose is just as expensive as buying a new machine.

Why is this the case? Well I will not be buying another hoover model.

Price of spare in line with what it cost to replace machine.

How durable, how come hoover need replacing every few years? prior to this mistake i had a rival one lasting six years and i paid far less.

I Love This Beast Of A Hoover! I Cant Believe All

I love this beast of a hoover! I cant believe all the negative reviews! - Admittadly it only works with bags rather than the box but I find this a really good hoover. I bought this second hand 3 years ago and it never fails! - The filters hardly ever need cleaning and its really reliable, never had any problems at all. Suction is fairly good and the lead nice and long. I love my hoover

My Husband Bought This Hoover Tc5238 After My Dyso

My husband bought this Hoover TC5238 after my Dyson of 12 years packed in. Comet were selling them off cheap, I now realise why.

I have now bought another Dyson after only having this hoover for 8 months. The extendable hose broke after 3 months and hoover seemed a bit reluctant to give me another one for free, but they did and it only lasted another 4 months.

The pet hair turbo head works intermittantly and all it seems to do is get hair stuck in the brissles. The dust bag is forever needing emptying whether it is full or not and the fact there are so many filters that need washing every month is ludicrous.

I've now bought a Dyson DC19, what a dream and what suction.

This Hoover Tc5238 Is The Worst Vaccuum Cleaner I

This Hoover TC5238 is the worst vaccuum cleaner I have ever bought. It was purchased only 10 months ago and I can't wait for it to break completely before buying something other than another hoover. The accessory tools are made of brittle plastic that break the second they are dropped on the floor. The end of the hose has split and it is impossible to pull the vaccuum around as you work without the hose coming out of the base. Very annoying!! The suction is rubbish even though the dust reservoir is emptied regularly. I've just pushed a small pea sized pebble all the way round the room. It frequently overheats and cuts out. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

This Hoover Tc5238 Is A Truly Dreadful Vacuum Clea

This Hoover TC5238 is a truly dreadful vacuum cleaner. It is necessary to brush the carpet with some force in order to lift hair, fluff etc. I then have to stop every few strokes to take the hair off the bristles and feed them down the hose. The suction is very poor and I always have to go over the floor that I have just vacuumed to pick up the remaining bits. On the wooden floors the engine blows the dust away from itself. It is such a complex machine, with the HEPA extras and high maintenance filters, that I had assumed I wasn't using it properly until I read the other reviews. The HEPA action is not integral to the vacuum (which I had assumed) and ultimately I gave up trying to understand how it worked. It is heavy and the engine becomes very hot, so much so that when I was attempting to vacuum the stairs it lifted the paint off my skirting, just like a heat gun! I have to be careful with children's legs nearby. I now do the stairs with a stiff brush - it is much less work and less frustrating than trying to use the Hoover.

Forgive Me But I Thought This Was A "bagless" One

Forgive me but i thought this was a "bagless" one so why won't it work my parent's have had a Hoover machine for over 20years and in all fairness yes they have replaced a few bit from general wear and tear but that hoover is still as good as the day they brought it!! but this one is the worst on i've ever had i would have done better to go to Tesco's and buy a Value one and saved myself a £100 what a joke!

Makes A Big Thing Of The Cyclonic Bag-less Operati

Makes a big thing of the cyclonic bag-less operation. It does not work. The filter clogs in minutes, and from then on the "full" light is on and the machine screams, even though is is nothing like full. Suction at this point is rubbish. Deeply regret buying this vacuum.

Bought To Replace My Old Dyson That Packed In Afte

Bought to replace my old Dyson that packed in after 10 years. The Hoover TC5238 is certainly no Dyson.

It constantly needs cleaning, to the point of stripping it down. It has poor suction despite the 2300W claim. It doesn't pick up pet hairs at all, even with the special cleaning head.

Generally flimsy and poorly designed.

My advice? DO NOT BUY ONE!

I Have Not Had Any Experience Of The Service/suppo

I have not had any experience of the service/support so I can't comment on that, however, I've never come across such a poor example of design and engineering; considering this is made by a company that have been producing vacuum cleaners for over 70 years one would have thought that they would have been able to manufacture something fit for purpose; not so: buy anything else other than this abomination.
