Hoover DM4496 Cyclonic

AWFUL. looks good, but dont be fooled as I was by assuming the long established brand name of Hoover equals good, efficient quality. The filter clogs within minutes of cleaning which means virtually no suction. I have resorted to sweeping the carpet with a stiff broom as it takes so long to hoover it. when I phoned the hoover help line to report my dissapointment at the product, I was told I could send it to be looked at, but if no fault was found, I would have to pay. Well, I am off now to buy another vacuum cleaner and It certainly will NOT be a Hoover. Please DO NOT buy this product.

The biggest waste of money I have ever spent. Absolutely dreadful. Will NEVER buy Hoover again. Doesn't clean and breaks within weeks.

Absolutely useless. Was really expensive and doesn't do what it advertises - ie be a vacuum cleaner!

It's advertised as great for pet hair yet clogs up every time I use it and I don't have a particularly hairy dog!

Worst vacuum cleaner I have ever bought. Useless if you have a dog, as dog hairs clog filter, which interferes with suction.

There's more dust in the atmosphere than in the cleaner and you get covered in it when emptying, in fact you need to shower when finished.

Just bought DYSON, fantastic, didn't realise how much mess HOOVER left in my carpets.

Bought Hoover as the company been going for a long time and thought there products would be reliable. How wrong?

I'm very disappointed and wish I had made a different choice.

The Hoover DM4496 just isn't worth bothering with.
