Dyson 5 Year Dc22 Vacuum Cleaner Guarantee And Sup

Dyson 5 year DC22 vacuum cleaner guarantee and support really suck!

I got caught with Dysons slick advertising and brought this overpriced and over rated product over 18 months ago. I paid £ 204.23 at the time but consoled myself with the fact it had a 5 year guarantee. I had some of their brittle plastic parts replaced, it was only when the motor went I found out how bad their guarantee and help team really were. After reporting the fault it took their engineer 2 weeks to attend this faulty product. He could not fix it on the day because he carried none of the parts, he arranged to come back in a weeks time. I took another afternoon of work only to be telephoned on the day to say he still did not have the part and he would get back to me. He never got back to me I telephoned Dyson who informed me the part will not be in until the 19 March 2010, 5 weeks after I had reported this fault.I have now been given 6 April 2010 a date when this faulty product will be repaired, that is over eight weeks since I reported the fault. I have now brought another vacuum cleaner new from a supermarket for £ 19.99 with a year guarantee to be replaced or refunded if faulty on the day, this is to use while I wait for Dyson to repair their hoover I overpaid for. This vacuum cleaner is bagless and as powerfull as Dysons and is £ 184.00 cheaper with a better guarantee. It is also made in Asia, the difference is I could buy a new one every year for nine years compared to Dyson and still have £ 4.00 change. Consumers it is your choice however dont listen to the slick advertising of Dyson, this product is average and far overpriced, dont have confidence in the guarantee, you may end up buying another vacuum cleaner while you wait for Dyson to repair your overpriced vacuum cleaner that is under guarantee.

I found this review helpful because...I have no experience of Dyson products, or indeed "service", and this reviewer's poor account of both has enabled me to avoid risking the same.

I Have Two Dogs, Who Shed Hair Constantly, And Thi

I have two dogs, who shed hair constantly, and this is the only hoover I have ever used that leaves the house spotless. It's suction power is genuinely great - I am suprised other reviewers have had problems with theirs... The hoover is very light to move around and carry; stairs are no longer a problem! I would never go back to any other brand, nbow I've experienced Dyson. A flawless product, that I hope will serve me many more years

Swapped From A Dyson Dc04 To The Dc22 And Really W

Swapped from a Dyson Dc04 to the Dc22 and really wished I hadn't. We live in a smallish house and storage is at a premium so the Dc22 is a winner there. However apart from storage there is nothing at all that I can resommend about this vacuum cleaner. The standard head will not suck up hair, fluff and cotton type strands from carpets - just shifts them back and forth making the overall ease of use absolutely zilch. We have carpets on the stairs and upstairs so half the house is a nightmare. Admittedly it does the laminates downstairs as well as a DC04. If you have carpets and wear either socks or clothes in your house don't buy this overpriced, underpowered white elephant.

There Are Some Clever Touches On This Dyson Dc22 B

There are some clever touches on this Dyson DC22 Baby Animal like the multi purpose cleaner head which auto-adjusts to hard and soft floors. Sports a telescopic wand which feels pleasant to hold and navigate. A combination tool replaces the need for separate crevice and brush. A lot of the design faults of my old DC05 have been rectified, such as; Tool holder now slots on to wand, power button and wire retract now sturdy buttons, main pipe now wider. This small dinky vacuum is also very powerful, i'd say more powerful than my old DC05. This is a very good product and you can potentially save £30 pounds if you shop around. Just don't expect to use your old Dyson tools from the "normal" range! In one word, this cleaner is "versatile".

I wish the Dyson DC22 Baby was on the market before I bought my current Dyson DC20 Animal. I love my dyson, yeah, but it's inredibly heavy and clumsy; I'm sure this 'Baby' design would make cleaning with the dyson far easier.
