“Great Family Resort!”

★★★★★

written by ArizonaBob on 20/06/2014

This is an impressive property and is a non-smoking resort. It is a timeshare and hotel and has under 500 rooms one and two bedroom suites. All units have close self-parking with some covered and none that are a 15 minute walk to your cars common to many of the large Las Vegas hotels. There is no valet service. The one-bedrooms have a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances stocked with, cooking pots, plates & flatware for six, blinder & toaster. Two flat screen TV’s with DVD in living room, washer & dryers, key safe and large bathroom. A connecting door allows access to another bedroom complete with a partial kitchen and bathroom. All rooms have balconies and barbeques grills in a designated area at ground level for safety. The property has a concierge and bell service, spa, gym and fitness center. Onsite mini-store, Wikiwiki has sundries, drinks and snack bar serving all kinds of coffee, ice cream and frozen drinks. A new lounge 17 South Booze & Bites has replaced Tahiti Joe’s .They also have a Denny’s restaurant. The pools and hot tubs are located within the center of the property and are heated and no deeper than four feet. They have numerous lifeguards, a sandy entrance in one area, ample deck chairs and shade. Pool towels are offered at no additional fee and there is no restriction on bring personal floats. They also have a lazy river with inter tube style floats, lifeguards and lots of waterfalls. If you are not on a timeshare trade there is a daily activity fee of $12 per room. This includes free Wi-Fi, shuttle service to various locations, free local telephone calls, use of 24 hour fitness center, lazy river tubes and resort activities. Resort fees have become common additional charges in Las Vegas. You are not allowed to bring personal drinks and food to the pools area unless it is bottled water in plastic bottles. Drinks, in my opinion are expensive at $12 for soda but you get a large plastic cup to keep and frozen alcohol drinks are $15. The location of this resort is excellent. About a mile from Mandalay Bay with a large outlet mall next door, many excellent restaurants and fast food establishments close-by with the beautiful Town Square Mall & theater with another twenty plus restaurants about a half-mile from the resort. This mall has a Whole Foods a health food and deli grocery store. The resort is about two miles from the largest Albertson’s grocery store I have ever seen. Maintenance & house cleaning are excellent. The one time we had to call maintenance for a TV tuning problem was at 10PM they were there in 5 minutes. This is a very family oriented resort and well managed and a great trade for us.
