“Kare Suite Nisantasi is a total rip off”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Ulmer on 07/05/2013

This hotel is advertised on Booking.com. Nothing in the hotel's description matches reality, starting with the location. The hotel is advertised as "being in the fashionable district of Nisantasi". It is not. It is in a warren of dark and dirty alleyways, 500 meters from the nearest major street. The hotel is in an area of garment workshops. At the end of the workday all workers go home, the lights are turned off, and the only people in the area are ragpickers going thru piles of discarded fabric remnants. It is not a comfortable area to be walking thru after dark.

The name of the hotel, Kare Suite Nisantasi, is nowhere to be seen. The entrance to the hotel is a door in a blank, graffiti covered wall. There is NO reception area, much less a 24-hour reception, as advertised. There are no business licenses anywhere on any wall -- which leads me to conclude that Kare Suite Nisantasi is an illegal establishment. I checked out after 2 nights. Yet, they charged me for 9. Booking.com was told I was a no-show! And of course Booking.com believes the hotel. They told me to sort it out with the hotel. Booking.com and Kare Suites Nisantasi --TOTAL RUBBISH.
