Stayed in a single room recently for three nights. The good; the hotel is in a nice rural location right by the Wrekin and has a pleasant old-fashioned atmosphere with a nice bar, the drinks of which were reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and answered any questions I had. The room was clean and ideal size for a single person with good thick curtains to block out the light. The bedding was nice and clean and afforded a comfortable night's sleep. Breakfast was also good with a self-serve over the weekend and table service when it was quieter. The food itself was tasty and sets you up for the day. The not so good; The cost was £65 per night, which, for a single room was overpriced in my opinion. I would have been more comfortable paying perhaps £20 less per night to be honest. The toilet roll holder fell off several times which really should be a basic fix and I had no room service on the third day at all. However, I would stay at this hotel again though they need to consider the room cost as this is a little high for the average customer to afford, especially in the current climate.
