Not Individual Eyelashes, Clusters, Party Lash

I bought a Groupon for this salon, Friday last week i had my eyelashes applied, and i had them removed on Tuesday night. I went to a local professional salon for removal, when she looked at my eyelashes she was disgusted in the state they were in after 7 days, when she started to remove them they were all stuck together like she had stuck them on then poured glue on top, she had used cluster lashes in between individual eyelashes and also put party lashes in the corners. Some of the clumps of eyelashes were actually stabbing my eyelids making them sore and itchy, it was such a relief to have them removed - i am going to also complain to groupon and hopefully stop the bad practice happening. People could end up with badly damaged eyes or worse if this carries on, the professional who took them of was horrified, luckily i got them off quick and only lost a few of my natural lashes due to this botched job.

Serves me right really for paying £19 instead of £90, i am now going to a professional salon and paying the £90.

Awful Awful Salon

Well no wonder these are on Groupon all the time, the woman has no idea what she is doing.

Firstly she glued the lashes to my eyelids rather than leaving the small gap your supposed to and gluing them slightly further down my lashes. Secondly despite trying to get a patch test no one was in when I came to the salon, then when I rang she said oh it doesn't matter, you don't need it.

Fair enough if a client makes this call off their own back but I actually wanted a patch test.

After she had applied the lashes she asked me when my wedding was and looked nervous when I replied in a weeks time.

She then said that because I've never had lashes on before they wouldn't last as long as Id be more likely to touch my eyes. Well I don't know about anyone else but I'm less likely to touch my eyes having had something new done because I'm so aware of them and wouldn't want to risk pulling them out. To me it was a disclaimer because she knew they wouldn't last.

The lashes on my inner eye started coming loose within three days, I also had my eyes stinging every time I took a shower and even the tiniest bit of water ran into them.

When it came to removing the sodding things the ones that hasn't already fallen off very easily were in fact quite difficult to remove even with Steaming and Olive Oil. I lost quite a few of my own lashes during

the process.

Also what the other reviewers have said about the smell of smoke is true, I can't believe that any beautician would smell that strongly of smoke if they have washed their hands.

Believe The Last Review! I Had An Eye Infection!!

Never normally comment as like people to make up their own mind, however after visiting Premier Hairdressing near Hyson Green and getting an eye infection from my treatment i felt like i should just warn people of what to expect.

Initially speaking place is incredibly unclean - The beauty area is towards the back and so unhygienic. I had something to put in the bin and didn't even want to touch the lid - It had used wax, hair and general dirt all over it. I should have walked out then really as that shows the level of hygiene. The lady who was applying my eyelash extensions smelt strongly of stale cigarettes and body odour. Her hands were touching my face and i dread to think when she last washed her hands. I paid for what should have been a full set of individual lashes, only they took her 30mins - Not even the most highly experienced lasher could do them in that time. These were express lashes (Lots of lashes applied randomly on top of each other, which need to be removed after 2 weeks so your natural lash growth isn't affected)

She advised that they could be kept on for 4-6 weeks which is correct for individual lashes, where every lash is isolated - These were not, I could see my lashes were glued in clumps. I started to get some irritation after wearing for about 4-5days and just thought it was just getting used to wearing lashes (Although haven't had any probs before) Then after 7 days i saw my mum, who said my eye was starting to look red - I just thought it was because i don't wear any eye m-up with lashes, but on closer inspection that night, my eye lid was swollen near the lash line. I could see that a lot of lashes had been applied onto my skin and not even on my lashes!! I took off all lashes straight away with oil so not to risk any further damage to eye and my eye continued to swell for next few days and felt like something was in it. Currently still red and just hoping no lasting damage has been cased..

Individually Applied Clumps

I bought a special offer at this salon through 'Groupon'. It was for 'A Full Set of Individually Applied Eyelash Extensions Plus Brow Tint'.

The place is a little difficult to find as it's actually accessed via a side alley at a youth training centre in Hyson Green, just outside Nottingham.

The treatment was advertised as taking 90 minutes, however I was in & out within 50 minutes.

During the treatment I felt fine & relaxed, in fact I was almost falling asleep at one point. Towards the end my eyelids felt a little sore. When the woman (Joanne Storer) had finished she had glued my eyelids together so I had to try to relax & stay still while she cut the eyelashes that were glued together with a little pair of scissors. I could feel the coarse dried glue scratching the edges of my lower lids as I blinked. She'd obviously used too much glue.

As I went to have a look in a mirror I could see the look wasn't what I'd asked for, there were far too many lashes & they were glued together up to halfway along. I didn't want the woman near my eyes again so I said I they were fine & left.

The lashes were pinching & pulling on my eyelids as I drove home. When I got home I looked in the mirror more closely & could see she'd actually glued clumps of 7-10 lashes along the edge of my eyelids & glued them to my eyelashes to stick them together so they were less noticeable.

I had to go to A&E through NHS Direct's advice & they gave me antibiotic ointment to soothe, prevent infection & try to break down the glue.

When the lashes were removed some of the clumps were bigger than I thought. They were like sections of false lashes 4-5mm long.

I wouldn't recommend this service at 'Premier Hairdressing' (also known as 'Premier Training')to anyone.

I am the owner of Premier Hairdressing, on replying to this review I wish to state

* We have NEVER used scissors or have any scissors that enables our beautician to do this and could not do this as that would cut a clients actual eyelashes.

* We use the most expensive sensitive glue that can be purchased from our wholesalers at a cost of £35.00 for a small bottle

*Our beautician is qualified and has the certificate to show this which is framed and hung upon the salon wall

* Our beautician is not known to clients by this name

* The treatment is always advertised for longer in case clients are late

* The salon is situated at the front of Terrace Street

*Premier Hairdressing is not known as Premier Training

*Majority of our groupon customers return as they have experienced excellent customer care and service

Please contact the owner on the salon number if you have any queries. This is not a typical review and I do not think that our Salons name should be placed under disripute when it seems like a vendetta towards either the beautician or the salon
