Why No Choice?
I opened the letter containing my latest water bill which began WELCOME TO YOUR ANNUAL WATER SERVICES BILL.
An extraordinary way (presumably trying to be 'customer friendly') to ask for £592.16, the figure which stood out boldly under the WELCOME!!
There is NO explanation for the 3.4% rise on what I paid last year (I am not on a meter).
Over the last 5 years what I pay for GAS and ELECTRICITY has DECREASED as I have changed my supplier once or twice.
Here is a monopoly that feels it can make a charge that increases each year without giving any explanation for an above-inflation increase.
Why should WESSEX WATER be a monopoly.......... is there not a strong case to allow other companies to supply water

Customer Services.
I recently contacted Wessex Water regarding the high usage of my water after receiving my water bill. I was asked if I could read my meter, but as I am 82 and could not, they promptly sent a Meter Man to check it out. It was found that I had an internal leak. It was repaired and I notified the Water Board. Who to my surprise gave me a leakage allowance. This was all dealt with within days. Everyone was so helpful and efficient My sincere thanks and congratulations to you all.

Easiest Utility Company To Deal With When Moving Home
Moving house isn't always good - electric, telephone, sky, council tax, but these were the best. Called and with literally 4 minutes was told outstanding balance, standing order cancelled and billed for the remainder. Brilliant. If only all the others were so quick, easy and polite.

Prices Going Or Gone Up
Our water bill was £28 PER MONTH ,then Wessex water came around and changed all of the water meters ,after this the bill went up from the £28 per MONTH TO £40 A MONTH ,we live in a small retirement bungalow if it keeps going up we wont be able to afford water !
