While it was running it was great. Shame they had to stop the service.

This service has now been closed down. Tried using it for a while but wasn't very good and customer services were useless, which is probably why Tesco shut it down.

I have had my tesco internet phone more or less since they first started it and it was brilliant until recently when the service started playing up a bit. When they announced that they were packing in I was gutted. I own 2 Siements DP450 base stations and 3 phones all tied to the Tesco network!

I came across Voicehost and they have successfully helped me to unlock the DP450 and are now in the process of porting my number across to them. Brilliant response times and the support guys really seem to know their stuff unlike the tesco support team!

Worse yet - the service centre ar unawar of ANY plans to offer porting of UK landlng local numbers held by customers and that, for me, is ver bad newds.

Having had this service for a few years now I found the connection a bit hit n mis, however not overly cheap for say the Philippines whenthe wife used to call home! Needless to say! as per these large companies, if there not takeing enough profit then they close the system down....yes they are cutting off on the 27th April 2010. Oooh how I detest SupperMarkets

Tesco internet phones are closing down in April 2010. No refunds of vouchers, but if you paid in cash you will get a refund.

Pity they are closing, they were really good.

the best bit about the Tesco Voip is you get a number that anyone can call from a land line or mobile and the number even has your normal area code if you want it. Skype charge for a number for other normal phones to access.

I use a Siemens DEC phone with a normal land line connected and Tesco VOIP to the same phone, 2 lines with lots of set up choices like caller id for free - worth a few minutes looking into.

No complaints regarding Tesco voip , can talk 2 son at uni 4 free anytime......as long as the net is working lol

I got three one for me one for my Brother in NZ, & one for my daughter in Wales, but they`ve turned out to be nearly usless, help is none existant
