I signed up for their service in late 2011. Since I knew they would pass my details to 3 solar suppliers to enable them to contact me I made sure I used a totally unique email address,

I read the terms and conditions carefully, and at no time did they say they would sell my details to any other 3rd party for marketing of an unrelated nature.

I was contacted by the solar companies they said, however their quotes were very expensive and I did not pursue them and gave the business to another supplier.

However I now find I'm receiving emails daily from a completely unknown party using that specific email address.

Since the data protection act provides that data may only shared with external parties under the express consent of the subject of the data, i.e. ME! and only for the duration of purpose. i.e. to quote me once.

So you have to ask yourself if an organisation ( or its partners) are prepared to break the law so openly, in a manner so care free, then what other "less detectable" laws are they prepared to break?

I would NOT recommend to anyone to use this service, as it turned out to be worse than a waste of time, since the quotes were expensive and now I have SPAM to deal with.
