My system cost £5600 paid in full same day it was fitted, failed after approx 6 months, many complaints, emails, voice messages have been left but they have done nothing.... Waste of time and money..... Three and a half years now and the system still does not work..............You have been warned do not buy from Ambergreen they are useless FIRM Take your money do nothing to help.... Sorry I ever heard of them...This is a true review and i hope it will save some one a lot of money by reading it...

Really sorry to report that AmberGreen have no morals and no back up for customers

Fitting teams are not directly employed by the company and are sub-contractors for hire to anyone.

The phone sales team are your best friend when you first are contacted but when things go wrong after you have paid don't expect any help from your former friend.

They turn in to shameless pass the buck merchants who will tell you anything to get rid of you.

As for the fitting team they where fine and very pleasant it's just a shame that the system didn't actually work. The waterheater had to be installed at a later date as the fitting team were not told that I'd paid for one this took a further six weeks of phone calls and hassle before I eventually threatened legal action.

The paperwork was not completed properly and as a result the system wasn't registered for some months causing further hassle and expense.

Just a bad company.

Avoid at all costs.

They have also moved into double glazing now.

I wouldn't chance using any of AmberGreen services !

Firstly the instillation manager tried to talk me out of a survey on my house because of the travel involved.

the instillation team were hard working and courteous but i was left with a system with the water heater not working and a missing panel.

when i contacted the company i was told that they only install the kit and was given phone number for product manufactures.

i contacted powder diverters who produced the product and after sending photos of the meter box installation was guided through checking and making changes in the live metre box.

when i managed to get the system working it worked well diverting un used power to heat the water but the tank thermostat had not been checked or set so the water temp got dangerously hot reaching temp of 97 degrees on several occasions.

this problem was highlighted to amber green in several emails and phone calls and it was ten weeks before an electrician was sent out to sort problem, fortunitly there are no kids in the house with the scalding water.

now 15 weeks after installation i am still waiting for a panel to complete the instillation and am fed up hearing false promises the missing panel is due to a mistake by the fitting team who measured for twelve panels on the front of the house instead of eleven so iam left with the support rails showing. It was agreed on the installation day that an extra panel would be fitted but that it wouldn't be wired in as this would go over the 4kw limit.

right from the start i insisted that i would'nt accept an installation that didn't look good as there are some very bad looking jobs around the country.

the worst thing i did was pay the full money before the job was complete to my satisfaction. I trust this review will be of help to someone.

I really like the idea that we are now making our own electricity. The speed of the install was good, the whole thing was done in one day and the Ambergreen people worked with us to make sure the installation was exactly what we wanted. Its very satisfying making and using your own electricity, it seems like the right thing to be doing. It is a great talking point to the neighbours and friends and we are enjoying watching the system which we can do from anywhere in the world!! We are happy with the positive experience with Ambergreen and have already recommended someone else!

We were delighted to have installed a 6.5kW solar pv system from Ambergreen solar on our house in october 2013. I have been amazed that even through the winter months it has produced over 1 megawatt of electricity for my home. I am so delighted, even today at 10.30am 7th February 2014, it has been heating up my hot water via the Immersun immersion heating device connected to my solar panels.

I am also running my dishwasher and my washing machine all at the same time today and it is literally costing me nothing. The guys from Ambergreen were great and the installation was undertaken very sensitively as we have a 150 year old house with bangor blue slate roof. We opted for the black panles, the team used scaffolding and it was all done in a day. If you are considering solar panels I could recommend the team at Ambergreen more highly.

My family owns a farm in Northern Ireland, we had been considering getting solar panels installed for the last few years but never seemed to find the right company. We attended an energy convention last year and got speaking with a representative of Amber Green - from the outset, they were fantastic and professional. They quoted us a reasonable price and gave us assurances that they would have the installation completed by Spring. They lived up to their word and did a top rate job. We're extremely happy with our set-up and the amount of money it has saved us!

Amber Green providing me with solar panels and it has saved me a huge amount on my electricty bill. I thought that it might need to be sunny all year round for the panels to work but that wasn't the case, it produces more than enough power for the whole house all year round. The installation was quick, clean and professional so I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to give solar power a try.
