As an intermediary this company does only one thing correctly, choose reasonable drivers to sub out the work to. I had the following issues throughout the proces:

Qoute vs Actual cost: I was originally quoted $550 at the start then after a week to two weeks I received a contact call from Violet telling me that the cheapest that drivers are willing to accept was $675. As a shifting business, it may be understandable that a 25-50$ variance occurs between a quote and actual cost; however $125 is just unacceptable. As the intermediary, it is the responsibility of this company to come up with a realistic quote!!

Dishonesty on the part of Ameristar: When working with Violet, despite her being very polite and respectful, there was some sly actions on the company's part. During negotiations, I had explicitly requested that the firm check with their pricing department if they could come down to $650 but instead of asking and looking to try and please the consumer, I was sent a contract for $675. Now the $25 difference, while not that much, meant something as they ignored my request and directly sent me a contract as if I had accepted the price, which was not the case. In the future when dealing with this company make sure they follow your requests. In the end, rather than prolong the already arduous process I accepted the extra cost.

Communication: This is perhaps the worst part of dealing with Ameristar, they completely limit their availability through restrictive hours. FURTHER, they are only responsive prior to getting paid but not after. When looking to receive payment the company was extremely responsive through email and many phone calls!! To the point of badgering me to correct some billing issue they came across.

However, after receiving my deposit and cash, they ignored my requests for assistance in contacting the Driver. Further, when I called in to request a status update on where the car was at that point in time, the customer service rep. told me directly that she would call the driver and determine the cars location. I have yet to receive any call, apology, or comment on the request.

All in all, I would advise to stay away from using this company as your shipping agent, they were horrendous to deal with.

A side note is that the actual driver was extremely accommodating!!! It was the only redeeming thing about the whole experience.

I went online looking for quotes and was bombarded by emails and calls. I got the cheapest quote from Ameristar, they explained why it was cheap because every broker was telling me I was being low balled. The rep was honest about how the industry works and that they all bid on the truckers in a particular area but with their guidance they let me be in control of my shipment. So I decided to request a cheaper quote than they had given me. They explained that it may be difficult to get picked up at my rate but they will see what they can do. 3 days went by and there was no takers so I increased my bid slowly to entice a trucker. I got a call the same day for $795 which was cheaper than the $850 Ameristar had quoted me and definitely cheaper than all the other brokers. All in all it was a smooth experience, if you have time this is definitely the best option.

BEWARE! PLEASE BEWARE!!!

Charges one amount and then a few days later hits you with “Surprise” insane fees. Ameristar Transport charged my credit card WITHOUT my authorization. Had to open up fraudulent activity case with my credit card AND CONTACT POLICE about this.

I should have done my research before hiring them. They’ve been in business since only 2013

This was a hassle free move. the staff are knowledgeable and let me know what to expect my car was picked up on time and delivered with no damage. I received a lot of quotes but i felt this company was upfront and honest so i went with them. I would definitely recommend ameristar

I have had previous bad experience from another company and I was skeptical of this industry. I got a recommendation to use Ameristar transport. They explained how the process of transporting a car works and I was satisfied that they included some sort of free damage gap insurance. My car got delivered in one piece and with excellent communication from Ameristar. Thank you I am a customer for life!!

After getting numerous calls, I chose Ameristar to ship my car as they offered additional insurance coverage to supplement the carrier while the others did not. The price was a little higher but I wanted the peace of mind. Great work from the broker and carrier

I got my car shipped last minute from PA to TX and the quote was below market value. I thought I was going to have to pay more since I was rushing the order but that was not the case. Overall it was a good experience.

The process was confusing at first but I am satisfied with the overall outcome the truck arrived with no incidences

This is the second time I have used Ameristar for transport. Booking was easy and straightforward. Service was great and details easy to understand.. On both orders they found a carrier very quickly Drivers were very personable and took care of my cars. This is definitely the company I would use if I need car transport in the future.
