I Have Been With Vyl Media For About 3 Years Now.
I have been with VYL Media for about 3 years now. They used to be VOIPyourlife and now have another partner company called 1VOIP. Originally they were awesome. That is no longer the case. For more than a year now there has been one issue after another with VYL Media. Abysmal call quality, dropped calls, not being able to get through at all, the other party not being able to hear me, or me not able to hear the other party, several of the features suddenly not working as supposed to, and the list goes on. I just had another major issue. VYL Media phone support confirmed that it was indeed something at their end. After months of frustration I blew the lid and instead of fixing the problems VYL Media responded with a cancellation of the service on me effective March 10th. Most VOIP providers need 10 business days, often more (one I just talked to said it will take 20-25 days), to port over a number. It is now Feb 25th. That means I now have to spend time that I do not have finding another provider, make a decision on the fly, and hope that I get my number ported over before they cut me off, or get a new phone number. In their defense the call center manager called today asking to discuss this further. That is after he had sent me two eMails notifying me of the pending disconnection, one justifying that action with VYL Media's TOS according to which they have the right to disconnect me as they please. That said - just to point out how reliably this service actually works - I received that call as a message, because the phone actually did not ring here and the call history does not even show that call as coming in. But at least the voicemail worked, for once. Yeah!
