Canceled After 8 Years

I wanted to update my credit card info online. The website did not accept the update and I chatted twice online, also called CS 3 times. They advised me to install random browsers until I find one that would accept the update. One of the reps asked me to remember my address from 7 years ago and laughed at me refusing to update the account which they charge to earn money. I canceled the account after 8 years. This business became a sorry excuse of what they used to be in the past. They deserve to go belly up as the quality of their service and customer experience is ridiculous. I wish I canceled months ago.

..they Became Big And Stopped Listening To Their Customers..

..the sad thing is that one by one once customers begin to walk away from your business is a chain reaction very difficult to stop, people talk, they share opinions, they complain, etc,..and Uniontelecard is now regarded as one of those companies that got big and forgot about their clients. Customer service is terrible, you call for help and they have no clue what's going on and/or how to help you, it's either that or they put you on speaker-phone (you can actually hear the laughs in the background) while you try to explain what the problem is, and once you're done explaining they reply with a question completely unrelated to what you just said, clear way to let you know they don't listen. It's been a few good years with this company, but I'm taking my business somewhere else. When I'm paying for a service I don't need to be treated like I should be begging for attention or like I'm being handed the service for free.

Completely agree with this! I too will be switching to a different service after being treated very condescendingly by a service rep

Terrific Rates All Over The World-- I've Used This

Terrific rates all over the world-- I've used this to call from the USA to South Korea, Japan, Hawaii, Guam, Singapore, England and all over the US. Very low per-minute rate with no inactivity charge, no per-call charge, etc. All your money goes to minutes, not fees.

The website is easy to navigate and it is simple to add money (time) to your card online. You can even configure it for your home phone so you don't have to enter all the numbers each time you call (I have not tried this but it is a useful feature).

I have used the same card for five years now and am very pleased with it.

..so,.. we can safely assume you either work for this company or you're a share-holder. Not enough to save it from terrible reviews.

They Offer To Clients $10 For Each Friend That Cli

They offer to clients $10 for each friend that client refer and after friend first purchase. The advertiser is "Get $10 with your friend first purchase". My friend create her account and before make the first purchase I entered her info in my referals. The system said that she can not be a referal because her account already exist. We chat with a representative before she make the purchase and also she called there and they did not credit the $10 in my account. They said that we create the account before enter her info in my referals. They ignore that my friend havent made the first purchase. It is just a tricky way to make you send referals but they dont pay for it. They have very poor custumer service, nobody can resolve the problem they just say I'm sorry.

Okay, so there wasn't a meeting of the minds on your referral, and thank you for warning us to be sure to follow the rules so as not to be caught in this gray area. Now tell us how the card works for you, if it is a good value, etc.

Be Very Wary Of The "terms & Conditions" On Your C

Be very wary of the "Terms & Conditions" on your card. A product is being sold without fully disclosing all information which I did a live chat with a supervisor who decided sarcasm was better than addressing the issue. I purchased Europe Blue card which states: EXPIRATION:"Your card's balance will NOT expire unless the card is not used for any consecutive 12 month period. If your balance expires, please contact customer service". However, the card actually expires 6 months if not recharged. Yet nowhere does it state this. I would NOT recommend Union Telecard as they sell a product without fully disclosing the terms & conditions & are not ethically or morally adept to handling a customer concern.

Uniontelecard May Have Good Prices, But The Sound

UnionTeleCard may have good prices, but the sound quality highly variable; the transmission delay drives me nuts (but this might be problem with all phone cards?). I live in rural area and connecting to other rural areas difficult (computer lines apparently have to travel to Austrialia to get 3 counties over) compared to connecting to higher population areas.

Customer service has been fairly patient with my frequent complaints.

Connecting to cell phones can be hit or miss. Connecting to Canada works well.

Union Telecard Offers Good Options And Competitive

Union TeleCard offers good options and competitive rates. Their policy indicates an unused pin expires in one year; however, for the casual user, they don't offer a reminder service and once the pin is archived they don't offer a way to reactivate it nor to refund any unused balance. A Customer Service supervisor could not solve this problem and indicated that he would submit a request to the developers to see if a reminder notification (which should be easy to do) but whether they'll do it or not is another story. They do send marketing e-mails though...

Note: I would only recommend this card with the caveat described above.

I found this review not helpful because... uniontelecard.com customer service people always try to assist me doing their best and always give the money back and reactivate the card when they expired, however all the information is over the website and if they doesnt have a reminder we already know that the card expired a year before the purchase.!!!

Stay Away At All Cost. These Guy Are Ridiculous. O

Stay away at all cost. These guy are ridiculous. Offer a promotion for signing up and purchasing a card that can not be redeemed. Smells like a scam. After 12 emails back and forth with customer service I gave up and came here to tell the world to find another company to patronize.

I found this review not helpful because...If you do not read how to apply the bonus points you will never get them, however is not the companys fault because they have all the information cleared in the webpage, they explain how to redeem the promotions and how to apply the extra amounts to the existing pins...i think that we have to read and check what is happening before judging by appearances...
