I Used Electricity4business About 3 Or 4 Years Ago

I used electricity4business about 3 or 4 years ago and the prices and customer service were fine - I would have used them again - until you want to leave and then Dr Jekyl turns into Mr Hyde. First, you have to phone them on massively premium rate number and then they start charging you £25 for every letter they send you.

They messed up my final bill so I sent the amount I knew I owed, with a covering letter but they just ignored it and kept sending demands, with an extra £25 fee each time. I sent them a couple more letters which they ignored and it was blatently obvious to me that they were hoping I'd get worried about legal action, give in and pay their incorrect bill charge and umpteen lots of £25 quid.

A shame really as otherwise I would recommend but because of that I have to say AVOID.

I Cancelled My Direct Debit To Electricity4busines

I cancelled my direct debit to electricity4business as I was closing one of my shops and knew that I was in credit with this company. I felt the customer service was poor. As soon as I received their first letter £25 charge, I contacted them, but was misinformed at the first point of contact, supplied final meter reading to another member of staff assured no further charges, continued demands for money including a termination charge of 0ver £200. Premium rates for all calls, reams of letters.

First Contract We Had With Electricity4business Is

First contract we had with electricity4business is dated 4/9/2007 for 12 months ,competitively priced so it got us hooked. Rollover contract offer dated 22/7/2008 hiked in price and increased to 2 years. Cancelled renewal by registered letter and phone call having agreed new supply with Scottish Power at virtually half the price on 1/8/2008. Letter from Electicity4 Business objecting to transfer of supply because of Clause 4.2 of Terms and Conditions: The date for transfer would be 18/9 2008, 8 days after the 7 days grace of the end of the contract and that if we could not transfer to our new supplier by 10/9/2008 the 2 year renewal we had refused would come into force. I'm sure that generally the time allowed after the end of the contract is 30 days as it takes around 6 weeks to transfer suppliers. We have complained to EnergyWatch.

We're A New Business, Told We Would Be Reviewed In

We're a new business, told we would be reviewed in 6 months, that never happened. Now say that was the wrong information we were given. Would not accept our meter readings because we had 2 meters. When meter reader called, only single phase meter therefore only one reading required? We stopped our payments and within a few days were told we would have electricity cut off. They have been collecting our money for 9 months (over £1500) and say don't need to tell us how much electricity we have used! I have reported this to Energywatch.

Electricity4business Tried To Get Me To Change My

electricity4business tried to get me to change my supplier by telling me they have a cheaper rate, but it was not. They faxed me a quotation after I had requested it and the quote was based on a monthly charge, but on the phone they told me that it was the quarterly charge. They wanted me to confirm the contract by phone but I insisted on paper.

We Completed The Transfer To Electricity4business

We completed the transfer to electricity4business over the phone which was quick and the guy on the phone was really helpful - no issues with service.

We have submitted a previous review but we omitted to add that Electicity4Business would give us an early termination of our refused but enforced 2 year extended contract that would be operable for just 7 days grace and the 8 days extra required by Scottish Power to become our new supplier if we paid them £672 which apparently is 10% of our estimated usage over the next 2 years. Considering our usage over the past 12 months on direct debit of £130, therefore £1560 for the year will supposedly now be costing us £3360 per year.

Very Helpful When You Join But If You Try To Trans

Very helpful when you join but if you try to transfer your supply to another supplier watch out as they have some seriously restrictive terms in there contract small print - you have to change your supply within a 7 day window otherwise you are automatically signed up with them for 2 more years - I believe they are the only supplier to have this clause - usually you have 30 - 60 days.
