A Bad Experience.
System installed properly and works well. The problem was that the survey made no allowance for shading from a property close by and therefore the system under-performed the survey estimates by 13%. Furthermore during the sales pitch the company representative claimed Barrier were part of a big conglomerate, which they were not, and that they had installed solar panels the whole length of Newcastle Airport, which they had not.
On asking Mr. Johnson to check the efficiency of our system after the first year he was uncooperative and said wait a further period. I complained to NAPIT and they together with RECC established the survey was inaccurate and eventually we agreed a settlement of £1500, being £800 cash and £700 donation to NSPCC, with proof of the donation by receipt.
I received £800 but no such receipt has been provided despite repeated requests. All this has been going on for more than a year with over 100 e-mails in total between the company, NAPIT, RECC and myself. It has been a nightmare. Unfortunately I am unable to take Barrier to court as the donation is due to NSPCC, not me personally.
Should Mr. Johnson provide proof of the donation I will amend this review slightly.

Amazing
Recently bought a 2kw system from barrier salesman who was very professional and not pushy at all I actually wanted a 4kw system and he advised to cover my electric bill I only needed a 2kw which was far cheaper and less impact on my roof it was a swift tidy install very happy

Very Pushy Salesman!
Barrier energy have caused me nothing but grief! they come across as very very pushy salesman. If you are looking for renewable energy solutions stay well clear of these cowboys. Over the phone they act very nice but face to face you cant get rid of them I felt forced into ordering 10k + worth of solar which is a lot of money but they were constantly pushing me to go ahead. I have not gone ahead but still get phone calls off a Kevin and Stuart.
