Have to say i rue the day i ever took this service out i am trying to cancel the service but with out any joy i have 3 boxes up to now and what really drives me mad is the failed recording messages that they send you. The box also freezes. When you phone them to complain they do a download correction which results in all the saved content being lost for ever i hope to have BT Vision soon they are doing a deal for £18 which includes sport and films plus
you don't have to wait till the programmes are downloaded over night ireally would not advise anyone to get this rubbish customer service is also very very very poor i would give them 0.5 out of 10 stay away from top up tv honest its not worth the hassle

Topup Tv is an expensive aggrevation that should be avoided at all costs, if someone have warned me what a load of junk the entire concept was I would n't have been conned out of £ 15 a month. Be warned don't even consider using Topup.

Tv Content Poor, When The Set Top Box Packed Up, I
TV Content poor, when the set top box packed up, I didn't bother to replace it, I tried cancelling the subscription, unbelievable attitude, would not cancel until I had agreed to speak to their customer retention team, none available & would ring back. Wrote to company, cancelling, but money still taken from the Credit Card, rang again, no record of the letter!!!! Subscription not cancelled as their customer retention team had tried ringing but had been unable to contact me. Despite explaining that I was unable to receive there service, another £10-00 with drawn from the credit card & down the drain, 30 days notice required from date of cancellation, despite the previous calls & the lost letter, combined with a stinking attitude of their rep. Good luck if you want to cancel.

Total Load Of Rubbish, If The Pvr Was More Reliabl
Total load of rubbish, if the PVR was more reliable then it might be worth considering, the PVRs are top up tv main problem, crashing, freezing, corrupt recordings, there is no point having content some may want to watch when the hardware does not allow you to watch it, if I had known how bad the PVR was going to be I would never of bought it not to mention the money wasted on subscriptions and phone calls to top up tv CS full of promises that have never materialised, there are much better PVRs that work.

Have used Top Up TV Anytime service since it started, programme quality has improved and is a good way of topping up Freeview cheaply. Probably not ideal for a major couch potato but ideal for just that bit extra choice

i dont want sky where we live theres no cable, so we have two make do with topuptv, which is rubbish. dont bother getting it, its good idea if only it worked, dont like dtr box"s always going wrong, taken ten box"s back so far.

I Was A Top Up Customer From There Launch In 2003
I was a top up customer from there launch in 2003 and loved the service when it was live channels, I signed up for the Anytime service and stayed with it for a year before finally giving in and moving to BT Vision.The Anytime box is sooo bug ridden, I got only 50% of my downloads while with them because the box decided they where corrupt! It missed so many recordings that I went back to my DVD recorder because it coundn't be trusted.The customer support is appalling, no help really.I just dumped the box in the end.This has the potential to be a good service if they would just get the software n set-top box sorted out.

Top up tv is cheap alternative to sky or virgin. But definately is NOT an equivalent. It only offers 3 channels live. The rest are downloaded over night and drastically reduce the available disk drive. Personally I didn't take the top up option and have instead a pvr at a great price of 89.99 for 160gB machine. One major drawback is it is prone to freezing, requiring it to be unplugged. A software upgrade has since exacerbated rather than solved problems as it now permanently mutes on occasion.

Customer Service Is A Waste Of Time, They Try To S
Customer service is a waste of time, they try to send a signal to you box, and it makes no difference. I have had two DTR boxes which have done nothing but crash and freeze every few minutes. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone!
