Very Poor Performance And Poor Customer Support
Star / Clarinet are our ISP for a small business in the southwest. We recently suffered a line fault, which for five days deprived the company of internet access, crucial in a modern business. Star were even less helpful that a chocolate tea pot. Apart from some very basic telephone support, they offered very little else. Eventually our engineer sorted the problem, after finding it was a fault further down the line ( it is complicated ), without any assistance from Star.
Even when the service behaves itself, the performance is less than that which might be expected from a slow domestic connection and on average does no better than 1.7 Mb/s!!
On there very poor customer service I would suggest you avoid them, let alone the slow speeds on offer, which even fail to reach their advertised speed.
Thumbs down for sure!!

Unbelievably Bad
Doesn't seem to matter how many different ways you ask the most BASIC of questions, the online helpdesk appear helpless to understand and have few customer care skills. the wait between 'updates' ( which are usually totally useless anyway demonstrating almost zero knowledge ) can be days in length, only to wait again... and receive another useless update, escalating doesn't seem to bring any better results. can't imagine how it could be any more frustrating or useless. Requests for call backs always fall on deaf ears and you are forced to call their 0871 telephone number!
