Problem after problem after problem.... First 6 months from solway comms were fine, 5mbs download, 2.5 upload all was great. However for 4 months now, we have had poor internet speeds, and wifi dropping out! You call up to complain and all you get told is they will call you back, which never happens! The technicians haven't a clue what they are doing, and frankly could care less about you! I called 8 times last week to solve this problem, and twice even demanding to speak to head office and yet they don't even call back ! Worst customer service and support I have ever seen! Save yourself a headache and do not go with these! It's beyond rediculous, I wouldn't wish them on anybody!

I never do reviews however these have wound me up so much, that I had to this time... please do not go with them!

Usually broadband in the countryside is useless, whether your provider has promised 'up to XX' speeds or not, but Solway promise an actual speed, and deliver! I work a few miles outside Carlisle, and around me the speeds range from 0.2 Mb/s to maybe 1.5 Mb/s on a good day. Upgrades and rollouts have been promised, but nothing ever seems to happen!

Solway do it wirelessly, using fibre-optic, so through them i get the Super Business package, whcih is 10 Mb/s download (very useful for Iplayer, Youtube etc) but ALSO 10 Mb/s upload, so larger picture files or presentations I send to clients go through much quicker than they did before.

Although its not something I've done yet, they have also said I can get my phone down their conenction as well, and cancel my BT line completely!
