Load Of Rubbish
Waste of money. Email via the web has been down for 3 days now. Phoned technical support (at 10p a minute) they cant tell me how to set up mail via a mail client as their control panel is down. Definitely changing provider. BAD LEGEND!!!

I Was With Businessserve, Then Legend, Then Thus.
I was with Businessserve, then Legend, then THUS. Businesserve seemed ok. But LEGEND and THUS were the most incompetent company I have EVER dealt with anywhere.
They were hosting my website, but was charging rather a lot just for that, as I found out from others. The site was often off line, due to Legend/ THUS. At one time they had even put it on to one of their other servers which didn't handle Frontpage extensions. And they tried to make out it was my thought!! ButI told them it was only them who could have done that.
When I decided to leave them, as I had decided my domain name wasn't good anyway, they threatened me with legal action, and even court action. It was then I sent 2 identical strong worded letters registered, one to the MD, one to the sales dept.
Over the time I was with LEGEND/ THUS I had phoned them, when problems occured, when they finally picked up the phone, the person on the other end was so unhelpfull, it was simply a JOKE!! He certainly was not at all technical!!!
The result of the letters was, a credit note for the amount I was suppose to owe them. Which cancelled out any amounts they 'thought' I owed them.
But no letter of apology.
No I rate that company ZERO. Don't go near them.
Credit note? They must have softened up! Back in 2007 they still sent threatening letters (in the end even one from a solicitor!) for an amount of about 11 pounds that I didn't feel I owed them. Don't touch them!

This Company Keeps Changing Hands.went From Busine
This company keeps changing hands.Went from Businessserve which was fine,to LEGEND to THUS then to DEMON,and the service suffers as a result.They do not give warning of maintenance and quite regularly the service is down.The tech support is in India or somewhere,they are all very polite but language can be a problem.
The worst thing is that you cannot depend on the service,and i nervously log in.I would have left but they own my domain.

Hosting and email, we've held our account and domain since 2001. Gone through domainnamesgb, businessserve, legend, demon, thus.... Went through similar problems with Legend/Demon accounts - why we have stayed so long I'll never know. Of late, things settled down for us. I guess we've had about 6 months of relative calm. BUT, today, gone from name servers, no ftp. If all has been wipped and I have to rebuild the site, it'll finish me off!! Call to support (took 27 mins), guy couldnt help "have to escalte to 3rd line" he says... Please, dont touch this lot!!!

In Common With Most Of The Above Reviews, I've Exp
In common with most of the above reviews, I've experinced all these problems, including the incessant hounding by 1st Credit for two seperate alleged "invoices" from Thus. These were a result of the control panel I should have been accessing (the Domainnames GB one) appearing to have had it's database arbitrarily locked with no alternative online management facility offered and therefore no means of renewing other than by cheque.
My initial agreement was with DNGB who I had no problems wtih. Since Legend and then Thus came along it's useless. Hopefully I can successfully move my domain out - I've had enough.

Absolutely Appalling In Every Sense. I Paid For My
Absolutely appalling in every sense. I paid for my annual hosting fee and was then chased by 1st Credit who told me THUS had sent them another invoice. THUS said my account was zero, 1st Credit disagreed and threatened legal action all over £20! I've ended up paying again and am now going to throw a bit of cash at this and take legal action against them. This is without doubt the most useless company I've ever dealt with. Avoid at all costs.

What A Shambles, Legend Communications Don't Send
What a shambles, legend communications don't send invoices, they send the dept management company 1st Credit.
Just try to sort out an invoice with the almost incompetent staff and find out how hard it is to get at least some satisfaction and you will see that this is a company to stay clear of.
Cancel your domain and still get a bill? oh yes they do that as well.
They also demand a cancellation signature from a dead man believe it or not this happened to me when a clients husband died, I had the login and passwords, I was the lead admin named on the account and they could not even understand that a dead man cannot sign the cancellation papers.
His wife was not very understanding at all, somewhat amusing now but it to say I was quite upset at the lack of understanding that Dead, gone, under the ground, capput, deceased and so on meant that the poor guy was not able to cancel his website, they finally relented.
What a waste of money and stress this company is STAY CLEAR AT ALL COSTS

I Too, As A Former Dsvr Customer, Have Been Threat
I too, as a former DSVR customer, have been threatended by 1stCredit (representing Legend Communications). It seems that a lot of former DSVR customers have received such threats.
I have rated all above at one star, since there seems no way of awarding a zero.

Legend Communications Web Sites Are Down And Have
Legend Communications web sites are down and have been since Sunday 21st June 2009. The help desk when you can get through are no help. They have information about the problem or any time scales and dond have any backup plan to get services back up and running. They will not point domains the the Demon web platform that is working so the site can be reloaded.
It is worth letting the PLC head office know how bad the Legend service is.
Do not use Legend/Demon/Thus they are incompetent.
