It Was Good While It Lasted! But, Euro1net Charged

It was good while it lasted! But, Euro1Net charged me for a year, and I didn't get a refund.

I Have Been With Euro1net Since April, And It Has

I have been with Euro1Net since April, and it has been a good service.

For free connection and modem you need to sign for two years and pay up-front. I was cautious about this, but I found others who had been on longer and found it OK.

I'm sorry to hear of John50's experience - though having with Barclaycard I can't say I'm surprised!

I was so pleased with Euro1net that I recommended several friends, a couple of which I paid for with my personal Egg card. After BT's action, Egg secured payment of all the outstanding amounts. Their performance was excellent and I would like to think/hope that they got BT to foot the bill! But I doubt it.

I have not yet recieved a refund. Paid with barcley card. Because was over 6 months since gave them the money. Never pay for anything up front again.

In making her comment, anthfiona is mixing up the performance of Euro1net as a supplier of services, to which Tom Dee and I were responding, and its business relationship with BT. I found its relationship with its customers to be far superior to anything else I had come across, its servers fast (maybe underutilized, leading to a cash flow problem!) and reliable. It is a great shame that something went wrong with its relationship with suppliers and it was put out of business.

anthfiona, if you bought your time using a credit card, you should be able to re-claim £200 through your card security scheme. This is route which I, and a number of friends who also went the Euro1net route, have taken. So far everybody I know has had their claim met in full.

My personal 'bottom line' is that I had 12 months of super service at £10 per month - and a refund on the outstanding amount. I can hardly complain about that!

I had only been a 'customer' with Euro1Net Internet for about 4 months, and I have had £240.00 taken away. I was told via a website that I would be informed of a refund, of which I have heard nothing. How anybody can say that was a good ISP is beyond me.

Unfortunately BT has now put them out of business. I can't comment on the merits of the dispute, but I had found Euro1net to be one of the best supported ISP's around. BT's action in blocking customer access to any supplier verges on the criminal and they have been widely reported to OfCom.
