An Absolute Disgrace Of A Company!!!!

This company is an absolute disgrace. Broadband speed is an absolute joke...the slowest I have ever known. Streaming is impossible and it's hard enough to get on line with d/l speed less that 2mb. Customer Service = what a joke. No interest, no help, no improvement ...absolutely nothing. I was lied to about the performance and from what I can see here, so where most customers! Price has gone up mid contract. DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!

Ee Mifi Broadband Box At Home And Out And About - 4g

A few months ago, I purchased an EE mifi box from the local EE store in St Helens,

the idea was, that my home broadband was so so bad (and I mean bad, at approx

1megabits with massive dropouts at home), so was initially impressed with the

spiel from EE, about their 4g signal reaching far more places than any other

provider. Luckily it was only a 30 day rolling contract, which was ok, but the

initial price to buy the box was £39.99.

Anyway, in the hope of putting an end to this awful broadband at home from my

current phone provider, I bought the mifi box (about the size of a mobile phone).

You charge it up, (sim card inside), and it radiates wifi to the house, up to

10 items, 20gb a month for £22.

Again how I was taken in, the box never ever ever went beyond 3g, there were 4

signal strength lights on it, only ever 1 light came on, and that was always 3g,

and even when we took the box away to various hotels or holiday places in the

UK, I got nothing more than 1 level of 3g. (ANYWHERE)

The box itself, only lasted half an hour after a full charge, and there was no

setting to stop it "going to sleep" when not in use for more than 10 minutes,

so what a waste of time.

I will admit EE were good they offered to check the box, sent a new one, no

different. So once again, if you are thinking of one of these, make sure you

have a 14 day return policy in use. One of these days broadand providers will

get their act together and start giving us what we pay for.

So at the moment, the only way I get amazing broadband, is via my tesco/o2 phone

(samsung J5) using tethering, which gives me awesome broadband at home.

Terrible Broadband And Nothing Can Fix It

I had sky home broadband before and switched broadband to EE same time which I did with the mobile phone network. While the mobile network has good coverage and does better than the provider "three" which I had before, the broadband is terrible. Even my 4 year old router from "O2" (now sky) was performing far better than what I have now from EE. Broadband is very slow to the point of being unusable at certain hours. Multiple calls to customer service, technical support aren't resolving anything. I have been wasting until now hours with following the tech support guy going again and again through the same steps like logging into router settings and changing something just to change it all back later on. There is no real support but only a guy readung from a piece of paper. It's insane! When I wanted to leave I got told that I can do so but would have to pay early redemption fee which incidently equals the full outstanding contract term. They would tell me the speed is good although it is terrible. It's like talking to a robots or they are instructed to ignore customers complaints. I am left with paying for a service I can't use properly and I can only advice anybody to stay away from this company. At this point I wouldn't recommend the mobile (phone) service either. Although it seems to be fine but what I have observed is that I use now double as much mobile data as I had previously. On three I usually used 3-4 Gigabite per month on a all I could eat plan. Now I would be suddenly going towards my 10 Gigabite (limit) per month despite restrained usage. How that is possible I still have to figure out. It doesn't make sense that I would use more than double mobile data. Does EE count my mobile data differently? For example, today I tethered mobile WiFi via my phone because home broadband once again was unusable. 25 minutes Skype would have been eating 1,2 Gigabite of my mobile EE data plan! Make up your own mind if that is normal. Stay away from this company!

Absolutely Terrible

Everything worked with BT - it was just expensive. So I foolishly switched to EE. Since then I have had no broadband, no TV and intermittent telephone. And no promise of when it can be fixed. So its a total disaster. You get a call centre in India where they commit to nothing. Customer service is awful. And all they have offered me so far is one month credit on my line rental, which they have actually not delivered against my first bill for a service that simply doesn't work. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Nothing But Problems

An embarrassment to broadband and a terrible service from start to finish.

Connection was poor and constantly interrupted, and extremely slow in the evenings. After many complaints and days off work (unpaid) waiting for technicians, my issue was still not resolved. I quit EE early and went to an alternative who fixed the connection issue immediately. Furthermore, I after refusing to pay EE due to the poor service (why pay for something you didn't get?), my account was sent to a debt collection agency. I overpaid them by accident, by £23.50. This amount was sent back to EE - nearly a year later after many broken promises on their behalf and many more calls to EE from me I am still waiting for this money back from them, and they also insist that it is only £18.00.

I'm Happy 38mb Down 10mb Up 24/7

I'm getting 38MBps down and 10MBps up constant. P2P soft is about 32MBps any day any time. Really. Better than my old Virgin or Knock Knock

Avoid Like The Plague

I'm still in shock about how bad customer service can get. Having been with T - mobile for 2 years I decided to renew with EE. I got sucked into agreeing to changing my Broadband too. I went ahead and only then read some reviews. BIG mistake. I phoned up to cancel the very next day (well within the 14 day cool off of course). That's when the troubles began. Everything from not being able to hear a word the customer service team said - sounded like they were at the bottom of a swimming pool (off shore I assume) to theatening me that I'd never be able to return to EE if I cancelled, to putting the phone down on me - twice. Nearly 2 weeks later I now have a letter saying broadband is on its way! Really?!

If you're considering EE - don't. Go elsewhere and save yourself a lot of hassle.
