Useless

I have been with this company for just over a year, sadly i have to put up with them for another 5 months

i had a long wait for the connection,i was still paying for it and since then the internet dissapears for days on end

every time you ring you get someone different, try this try this is all you get, i do not know about computers etc so i have had to get my son-in-law over every time to disconect this and that, it is now a FARCE with them, i go to customer service now as the others seem to ignore the fact that it is the same fault all the time, namely not my end but theres I do not think they keep records on how the get the internet back on every time, i keep asking them to check as to how it came on last time, days later i may add, there is no compensation or any answers to why this happens every few weeks, i know it is going to dissapear soon as it starts to get slower!!!

i am writing to head office to tell them i want to leave before the next 5 months, to me they have broken the contract, i do not get reliable internet or helpful people on the phone, i am tired of getting upset and frustrated with this company. My advice on dst is DO NOT TOUCH

I Have Been With Dst For 3 Years Now, And No Probl

i have been with DST for 3 years now, and no problems until this year, my contract was for unlimited BB between midnight and6 pm, but they have changed this without informing customers, and now unlimited BB = 40gb! so not unlimited!

am in the process for changing to BT unlimited, which surprise, surprise is ....unlimited!, OK price is a little higher, but having just paid an £100 for a 1 month period with DST, so be it

i will be taking legal action and reporting DST to ofcom

I Have Been With Dst For Two Years,as A Person New

i have been with dst for two years,as a person new to computers,we took there broadband deal,no problems with them at all just with our speed which is 0.5 so we get cut off quite a lot,but that is bt fault as we are in the country side five miles from an exchange, but for cheaper phone calls we use 08081703703,you pick up the phone and go into this number we have saved, even for local phone calls, this has cut our phone and broadband costs less than £30 per month,i got this from martin lewises web site, you register with them pay by d/d every thing on line and so easy,to ring our daughter who lives in the spanish mountains with no phone lines,so she has a mobile only,it costs us no more than 10p per minute, the same as mobiles in the uk,going back to dst we have had no problems at all.

I Wish I'd Done Some Research Before I Went With T

I wish I'd done some research before I went with these cowboys for a phone line installation. Their CUSTOMER SERVICE IS APPALING, they never keep to their own schedule. I asked for a new line install and asked if it was a BT type line, as I wanted to move my O2 broadband over, they confirmed it was. Line got installed but I could not move to O2, why? the idiots had put me on their LLU line, and O2 will not migrate me after paying DirectSave Telecom circa £120 for the install upfront. They then had the cheek to tell me that on their website it says they "may" install a LLU line, and that I have to pay a further £40 to change to a BT type line, taking a further two weeks and bringing my total to £156.30, DEFINITELY NOT CHEAPER THAN BT. During all this I'm still paying line rental, which is also taken a month in advance. I've had to pay the extra and as soon as it's almost completed, I will be sending them my cancellation notice, I only hate one thing more than a thief, and that's a liar, and DirectSave Telecom are both. If anyone is considering this company AVOID DIRECT SAVE TELECOM LIKE THE PLAGUE. If just one person can avoid the expensive pitfall I now find myself in, this post will have been worth it. I just wish someone had done the same for me. So, I will be telling all who I come across at home, out and at work, to unequivocally avoid DirectSave Telecom.

Another thing, read the fine print, read the fine print, read the fine print!!

I Joined These After Being With The Joke That Is C

I joined these after being with the joke that is called tiscali who were ok until the day carphone warehouse took over and just like AOL it went to the wall. DST internet are ok the phone line is plaged with recorded sales calls. I asked them to take over the broadband and phone line together. They first lost the order so I had to do it all again on the phone. They then took my hone and not my net which left me offline for a 2 weeks. Then I got over charged for net only service(I'm still trying to get the money back) Their charges to mobiles are horrendous so I called them to say that I'm changing. No mention of a £50 leaving charge so we'll see what happens. My advise. Don't use them unless you have a lot of money to throw away.

I Have Been With This Company For Four Years Since

I have been with this company for four years since I had to report the dreadful AOL to the ombudsman. They have been great. Clear billing, excellent assistance and faultless service. I have three friends now happily using this company. the second best service was BTs Lineone which was so good it was sold to hapless TISCALI. I soon dropped my £30 monthly subscription to them. DST are cheap but they are also very, very good.

Sadly, there is a general air of indifference. The new customer codes supplied to me as a new customer were not recognised and so I was unable to set up my new email address. They were unable to give me new codes and so I am left with nothing. The "free" router has not been delivered and they have not followed through as they promised.Altogether, a most dismal performance.

I found this review very helpful because...my elderly mother was sold this service and as she lives alone the telephone is extremely important and is in fact a life line.

Very soon after taking this landline service the phone went completely dead, trying to contact customer services proved totally useless as that was dead too! We can take some sollice in knowing we are not alone!!

Have Used This Isp For Over A Year; Reliable Sevic

Have used this ISP for over a year; reliable sevice, speed only limited by my distance from exchange (about 3.4 Mbits/sec) - way better than my previous ISP (Pipex) who only gave me about 1 Mbit/sec. Just a basic internet link (no newsgroups etc) but it suits me.

First Of All I Have Paid £116 For Line Inst

First of all I have paid £116 for line installation when in reality it was only activation which should have cost me 16 pounds.Second, one of the reasons for choosing them was 28 days contract, but in reality it is a year-long contract with 28 days line rental agreement. So now I have to pay another 50 quid to switch ISP.
