Best In The Area.
This riding centre has brought my daughter's riding ability on immensely. The facilities are excellent and well maintained and the well-schooled horses cater for all abilities.
Pony days run throughout the school holidays where children have the opportunity to do dressage, jumping, x-country, games and learn about all aspects of stable management and horse care, they are incredibly good value.
The lessons are taught by highly qualified staff in a friendly, encouraging manner.
I would recommend this establishment to anyone wanting to improve their riding, increase their confidence or learning from scratch.

I Started Riding At Field House After Some Very Ba
I started riding at field house after some very bad lessons at my old riding school which resulted in me being petrified to canter, even when I started at FH on there safe confidence giving horses. Now after only about 6 half hour private lessons I have gone from being scared to canter to being ready to being confident enough to take my mam's very-forward-going horse XCing next weekend.
The instructors are friendly and helpful, they aren't mean and bossy, if you don't understand something they will take time to explain it again in a different way so it is easier to understand. At they end of each lesson they bring you in to the middle to ask any questions you may have and answer them in detail.
I have only ridden two of there horses but the two I have ridden ate incredibly safe and instil you with confidence. They aren't plods but they require you to ride them correctly to get them working well.
The lessons include a variety of things from dressage movements to working in a forward seat.
The facilities are well kept and clean.
I am very glad I found field house and will continue riding there in the foreseeable future.

After Falling Off A Horse I Come To Field House Fa
After falling off a horse I come to field house farm to regain my confidence and that it did. The horses are safe and good to ride, the teachers are really friendly and knowledgeable. The facilities are great with indoor and outdoor arenas.
I have been to a few riding schools and this is the best so far. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, you wont be disappointed!
(take no notice of the bad review, from first hand experience the review is rubbish!)

I Ride Regularly At This Riding School. The Horse
I ride regularly at this riding school. The horses I have ridden are responsive and safe without being ploddy. The lessons are fun and it's never the 'canter to the back of the ride' type tuition on group lessons which some other stables have.
The owner events regularly and the staff are friendly and knowledgable. My only negative point is that I have booked a lesson and then turned up to find that it hasn't been written in the book and they weren't expecting me :(
However, I have been given a free lesson as a result :)
I would recommend this riding stables to riders of any level.

Frankly Appauling Service, Ran By Clueless Airhead
Frankly appauling service, ran by clueless airheads. manager is an appauling role model for the kids and can hardly ride herself. the lessons at this school harldy compare to a sea side donkey ride! .. its downright robbery to ask to be payed for this service!!!
All I can assume is that this client is talking about a different Fieldhouse Equestrian Centre, because this review bears no resemblance to my experiences here.
The facilities, horses and especially the staff are all first rate!
This is a load of rubbish, the instructors are excellent and the service is fantastic. My daughter rides there weekly as well as attends pony club. She has gained confidence and has learnt to care for the horses as well as ride them. It sounds as who ever wrote this sadly has a grudge and should maybe stick to sea side donkey rides!
well to be honest i think the instructors are some of the best people i have ever come across.. and the horses at the school really do compare to sea-side donkey ride i dont know what beach you have been to get that good of a donkey ride.. and yes the manager can ride really well or she wont of passed her BHS exams and she is a fantastic role modle to kids and adults.. and its far from a robbery to be asked to pay to be honest i think it a very good price compeared to alot of other place.. and they are far from clueless airhead because if there where they would of been able to qualified for the BHS teaching courses..

I Have Been To Many Riding Schools Over The Four Y
I have been to MANY riding schools over the four years I've been riding. Why is that? Because I had to change, because of issues I had with them. None of them compare with Field House Farm Equestrian Centre and I am so glad I finally found the perfect riding school! And get this - it's the cheapest at £12 an hour for a group lesson.
It is located in Howden-le-Wear, Crook, Co. Durham, and is a very clean, tidy yard, with both indoor and outdoor arenas and fields with log jumps and coloured fences.
I have ridden a range of different horses, but not so much that I haven't had the chance to bond with different ones. They have a range of different natures, personalities and abilities, not just 'plods'!
The staff are wonderful people, which I think is a really important factor when going to a riding school! They are friendly, polite and supportive, without being too pushy and strict or weak and unhelpful. Field House can cater to the needs of a complete beginner right up to an advanced rider. I have been going for about a year and a half now and would not consider changing.
I love this riding school! The lessons are progressive - I have actually improved here, not just done the same thing over and over. I have done walk, trot, canter, jumping single fences, jumping double fences, jumping courses, and very recently a dressage test. The best thing about Field House is that I never come away from a lesson feeling sad or bad about myself!
